Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Steering, braking and general handling
Cons: No factory tuner version available (like M or AMG)
Advice: Great car and a good value in the low 30s.This car is a sportier but slightly less roomy version of the BMW 325i sport wagon. If BMW offered all the wagon engines it offers in Europe (including both the 3 liter gas and diesel engines), I would have probably gone that route. That being said, the IS handling, steering and braking are phenominal and all this car needs is a supercharger to compete with the M3 on the track.
Pros: the whole car is a future
Advice: check the allinement of the wheelis one of the best car i have drive
Pros: Sporty appearance and Lexus quality.
Cons: The lack of power compared to other cars in its class
Advice: Get the summer tire optionIS300 handles great, has decent performance and great brakes. The ride is firm but not to the point of being harsh. The car rear seating is tight. The over all quality of the car is superb! Lexus needs to increase the vehicles hp or offer a supercharger or turbo to better compete with vehicles being offered by BMW,Infiniti and Acura. My dealer could not find a car with the limited slip differential. Why Lexus does not include this option as stardard is beyond me. I would like to see Lexus offer some type of wood interior accents. The stereo system is excellent, however it's slightly weak in producing bass tones. The optional navigation system is difficult to program as it doesn't utilize a touch screen interface.
Cons: needs about an inch more head room
Advice: compare it to all the others in its class an you'll buy it.Very quite and has a super luxury feel in all the switches and controls. The car reeks with quality. The only thing that I dislike is it could use a little more headroom.
Pros: Navigational system.
Cons: Welded body seams show underneath on both sides of vehicle.
Advice: A nice luxury SUV.Good acceleration, 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. Not as smooth a ride as one would expect, especially on California freeways.
Pros: Performance & Comfort
Cons: No Back Seat
Advice: Be willing to let others drive itI was set to buy a CLK320 and remembered looking at the SC430 last year. I went back to look again and that was it. I have had it for a week and am happy to have passed on the Mercedes. A typical comment I have been asked is 'Is that as much fun as it looks?' I can only reply YES!!
Cons: I can't think of a truly negative feature in this car
Advice: don't get anything extra from the salespeople-it has everythingMy husband and I were skeptical about getting the LX470 having gotten used to sportier cars-our other car being a Mercedes SL500 and ML430. We drove the Range Rover 4.6 and just about everything else before driving the LX470. I have to say that the LX470 is amazing, it is quite simply the most comfortable, responsive and truly off-road car available at any price made by anybody! We both tend to hop in the LX470 over the other cars for errands and certainly long trips. It has awesome brakes and steering-you don't feel like you're driving close to 6000lbs-you just can't help feeling like king of the road though. And its so quiet the only quieter car I can remember driving or being in is the LS400. You may pay more for the LX470 but its worth it!
