    2004 Land Rover Freelander - SE 4dr

    Pros: Ride quality

    Cons: Small cargo space

Advice: Give it a test drive and decide for yourself.

The Freelander sits like large SUV, but drives like a nimble car. Excellent highway cruiser, precise steering with excellent brakes. It is a bit lacking in low end torque off the line, but using the tiptronic tranny in manual mode solves that problem when quick acceleration is desired. Rear seat room is amazing for adults, but the cargo space is smaller than others in its class. I've put 25,000 miles on my Freelander from the desert sand to the mountain snow and this thing rips though all terain with ease. Fuel economy is good. I get 23hwy, 17 city. The worst has been 16mpg and best is 25mpg. It is too bad that others have had problems with their Freelander, because it has been a fantastic vehicle so far and I have no regrets. I test drove every SUV in its class and I chose this one for a variety of reasons.

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - HSE

Pros: The NAV and the sport shift.

Cons: Lack of availabilty at purchase

Advice: Enjoy it and get them to demo the test track!

This is probably the nest SUV I have owned! The new style and quality that was put into the RR SPort is AWESOME! Great buying experience from Chris in Frisco ( no pressure) and got a great lease from Land Rover.

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - HSE

    Pros: Body style

    Cons: Not reliable

Advice: Don't buy it wait for a year until they fix the problems

I purchased the new Land Rover Sport in October,it has been a complete nightmare. It has been in the service department for 27 days out of the 31 days I have owned it. The service department has attempted to fix the compression system numerous times. They are working with the factory to fix this problem. After talking to the service manager, he explained to me that this new model has many problems with the electrical and the compression system. The engine was changed from a BMW and now a Jaguar engine combined with a new model, they are very challenged. Many cars are being returned and recalled. I would not recommend purchasing this car until its been on the market for a year or more. I am still dealing with the general manager of the dealer ship to try to get out of the car versus a replacement. It's a complete nightmare. Think twice about this car.

2004 Land Rover Discovery - SE

    Pros: Roomy and Safe

    Cons: Gas cap fit

Advice: Verify the electrical system for Nav operations and gas cap fit.

One test drive and I was hooked. Comfortable, but he back seats seem to sit high. My friend is a big man and felt the passenger seat was too small to his liking. But I love the seating, dual moon roofs, comfortable drive. Downside was the Nav system did not work and had to go back to dealer and the gas cap does not shut properly.

    2005 Land Rover LR3 - HSE

    Pros: Nav System

    Cons: Fuel mileage

Advice: Step up & find the HSE you will appreciate it when you trade

When we Test drove the Lr3 we were impressed with the Nav & the overall feel. We were trading in our 2003 E.B Expedition with Nav so we wanted it well Equipt. We drove a SE & decided to step up to the HSE ( better Resale ) I don't know if we will really use all the capabilities of this vehicle but it is nice to know that it is their.

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - HSE

Pros: go for the supercharged wheels on the HSE they are worth every penny

Cons: It is a mighty thursty beast.... but if you want to save on gas buy a mini

Advice: Havent driven the supercharged but I would imagine the 100 extra horses does make a difference

Drives the highway like a dream... very heavy and takes a big engine to get moving but very responsive at speed.
