2011 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

    Great Performance

    Pros: drivetrain

    Cons: quirky electronic display

Leased this vehicle for my wife. A bit tight on the interior and cargo space, but exceptional performance with the 375 hp V8 (apparently shared with the Jags). Dash display was a bit quirky at the start (kept switching to Celcius and Killometers every time car started -- dealer suggested a loose wire to battery) -- not unusual for a british car. Not a mommy mobile...

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - Supercharged

    Pros: Looks Cool

    Cons: Everything else

    Advice: If you're an idiot

A complete piece of 'S'. I've owned mine for one year, it's been in the shop 5, count 'em, 5 times. The work never gets done quick, usually takes a couple of days and nothing is covered under warranty. After 8,000 miles the brakes needed replacing for $750. And let's not forget that from the minute you drive your new Supercharged Range Rover Sport off of the lot your brakes squeek. Talk about embarrasing! I've got clients in my brand new $75,000 Range Rover and the brakes are squeeking all the time?!? It's been in the shop because of shocks stablizing problems, a tire gauge malfunction, a broken a/c vent, and the leather was peeling off of the steering wheel. Buyer Beware!!!

2007 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - HSE

Pros: Safety, weight of vehicle, luxury, capability

    Cons: jealous neighbors

Advice: Buy one and actually use it offroad

I have owned several Land Rovers over the past ten years. Regardless of all the whining I hear about the reliability of Land Rover I continued to purchase them because I have had little to no issues with Land Rovers. I have owned a 00 Discovery, 01 Discovery 2 2004 Discoveries, 2 94 Defenders, 06 Range Rover Sport, 06 Range Rover. They have all been reliable vehicles with some minor issues such as sensitive check engine and tire pressure monitor lights and an oil leak that was repaired on the first visit and covered under warranty. The service dept. at my local dealer has been fantastic!! I couldn't be happier with my L.R. experiences and will continue to purchase them. The ride, the quality, the exclusivity of owning such a low production vehicle will keep me coming back.

2007 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - HSE

    Pros: the hidden towing package

Cons: the room of the interior

    Advice: Shop the comp hard

I purchased this vehicle several months ago with much anticipation. What a dissappointment this vehicle has been. Rather it be the expense of the repairs or the lack of support from the dealer/manufacturer. I find the room to be limiting in that because of the counsel takes up so much space in the front. The leg room leaves much to be desired, especially on long hauls, and the instirments are difficult to reach when you are belted in . When the arm rests are in the up position it is very difficult to reach around and retrive something from the back seat, this is because the arm rest only retracts so much and is exceedingly wide. The window switch also is located so that you must lean your whole body forward to put the window up or down it is not as simple as moving your arm to the button and if you are strapped into the seat belt this can be difficult because the belts are inertia activated. The GPS can not be programed when the vehicle is in motion which means if you want to change your destination during vehicle operations you can not you must stop the vehicle. Lastly I am now having a problem with delamination of the dash board in that the vynal covering is coming apart from the foam back. The dealer is unwilling to discuss with me the replacement and I have 25,000 miles so I am under the limit for warrantee.

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - Supercharged

    Pros: power and comfort

Cons: having to return it to the garage for repair

Advice: I would buy another one but would need to be confident Land Rover ironed out these problems

I bought a Supercharged 5 months ago am very happy with comfort and and performance, but have had some problems knocking noise in front suspension and a whining from steering the front suspension anti roll bar bushings have had to be replaced along with the hydro lick piston for same, when I got the jeep back the garage failed to fill the fluid reservoir for the same. All tyres wore unevenly and had the tracking re set at 35,000 and four new tyres at 43,000 the back tyres wore on out side, brought back to dealer and they wanted to charge me for tracking? but when I objected they relented and tracked the vehicle free of charge, now the the knocking noise increased in front suspension again an I also have had a intermittent whining from the steering this has also become more noticeable ,I think it is related to the power steering pump.

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - Supercharged

    Pros: Seats

Cons: Gas mileage - 11.8mpg in first 3000 miles -half city/half freeway

Advice: Don't cheap out - get sat radio and phone

Awesome car - love the luxury. Its a great (SUV) drive. Love the steering (previously the Discovery had an appalling turning circle, not a problem now). Great car for the city with the turning circle, and park distance controls. I got the Sat radio (recommended) and the integrated phone (recommended, convenient, BUT sounds like you're in a tin box). Problems so far: sporadic warning that there's a suspension fault, happens once a week or so; wiper coverage (fixed in five mins). Would definitely make the decision to buy the RRS again.
