Pros: Standard items that are options for other makes.
Cons: A little bit of a hard ride. This appears to be the perfect low end vehicle for young drivers or older drivers who like youthful style yet low cost. It comes equipped with sat radio and bluetooth in all versions. Plenty of inside head room and rear seats that fold down for large items. With Kia lease and financing available you can't beat the price and add in the 5 year warranty and you can't go wrong. Who doesn't love the hamster commercials?
Pros: Bluetooth, radio buttons on steering wheel
Cons: The Sunroof isn't large enough.I Sold My 2003 Nissan Altima. And my husband said I could have any car I wanted under $22K. Thats alot of cars to choose from. So I drove all of them. The Last car he had me drive was the Kia Soul !... This car had more options in it than every other car. And more Air Bags No Extra cost. I drive the Soul 500 miles a week for work. I LOVE IT!! I'm at 4000 miles at 6 weeks I average 32 mpg. We drove to maine and back at 40 mpg. We had 2 women in the front (5'2',150) ad 2 men in the back seat (6'2' 220-250) and our gear for 500 miles. No one complained, we were all comfortable. Even my husband who has a back/neck problem didn't complain. I have no Problems parking! RUNS AWESOME!!! Would Recomend 1000% and more!!!!!
Better than for Hamsters
Pros: The Sound!!!
Cons: There is a definite blind spot in the right rear; merging to the right is tough. The Kia Soul is amazingly spacious. All my driving is city driving and I get a consistent 27 mpg with a 5 speed and 2000 cc powerful 4. The AC is cold; the electronic goodies are plentiful. But the best thing about the Soul is the incredible sound system. Kia's come a long way!
Pros: Interior comfort.
Cons: MPG Average 25
Advice: Purchase the 2.7V6 EX edition. With nearly 15k miles on my 08 Rondo V6 EX, I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase this vehicle. It has a quiet, roomy interior, gauges and controls are layed out well and visibility is excellent. I drive nearly 100 miles a day and the Rondo's performance and handling are better than I expected. Passing power is smooth and the responsive steering makes highway and driving on backroads pleasant. Loaded with safety features, I feel safe and secure in the Rondo. I'm 6'3' and traveling for long periods of time are not a problem in the Rondo. The steering wheel controls, door panels and dash board light up nicely at night. Stereo system, Aux. input work well with my IPOD touch. And again, the cabin is quiet and the engine hums at 80mph, with low 2500 RPMs. In idle, the engine is almost silent. Fit and finish are excellent. A great value for the dollar. With all the glass - I tinted my windows. I recommend this. Again. The 2.7 liter V6 EX Rondo is well worth a test ride! Note: I use to sell Kia as an Internet Manager and keep in mind that Kia's aren't 'cheap'. Their price is based on US Currency verse Korea's. You buy more with the US Dollar for Korean products. Kia is a fine name and product!
Pros: Sound System
Advice: great compact grocery getterThis is a great compact grocery getter. I get about 31 mpg on the road. The ride is not as great as other vehicles that I have but we got it for mileage & it does that great. The sound system is great. I would reccomend this car as a great tool for running around.
Pros: CD player
Cons: everything else
Advice: Don't buyI bought this car mostly for the gas millage which has been a disappointment. The best so far has been 30 miles per gallon but that was using premium. Use mid grade or below and forget it. We have owned this vehicle for 4 months the windows whistle in the wind, we have stalled 3 times, and forget trunk space.
Pros: Size & Shape
Cons: It doesn't come with antilock brakes or security system.
Advice: If you speed, don't get this car. Speeding wears on the slow accelerating engine. Made for work commute, not roadtrips or highways.I have a 2003 Kia Rio 4 door automatic cinnamon colored sedan. Kia Rio's have a fun, compact look. It handles well and parks very easily. This being my first car it was affordable AND attractive. I have no complaints. I am improving my driving skills in it being as it's a slower, smaller sedan with the look, price, size, and power I desired. It's definitly a girl car and I feel safe inside it. I'm 4'11' so even a honda civic wouldn't be small enough. I feel secure in tight parking lots and comfortable winding through cars changing lanes. U Turns and 3 point turns aka K turns are a breeze. A great pick for short, slow drivers who don't ask for much. Great for work commute, interstate preferably.
