Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Standard items that are options for other makes.
Cons: A little bit of a hard ride. This appears to be the perfect low end vehicle for young drivers or older drivers who like youthful style yet low cost. It comes equipped with sat radio and bluetooth in all versions. Plenty of inside head room and rear seats that fold down for large items. With Kia lease and financing available you can't beat the price and add in the 5 year warranty and you can't go wrong. Who doesn't love the hamster commercials?
Pros: Bluetooth, radio buttons on steering wheel
Cons: The Sunroof isn't large enough.I Sold My 2003 Nissan Altima. And my husband said I could have any car I wanted under $22K. Thats alot of cars to choose from. So I drove all of them. The Last car he had me drive was the Kia Soul !... This car had more options in it than every other car. And more Air Bags No Extra cost. I drive the Soul 500 miles a week for work. I LOVE IT!! I'm at 4000 miles at 6 weeks I average 32 mpg. We drove to maine and back at 40 mpg. We had 2 women in the front (5'2',150) ad 2 men in the back seat (6'2' 220-250) and our gear for 500 miles. No one complained, we were all comfortable. Even my husband who has a back/neck problem didn't complain. I have no Problems parking! RUNS AWESOME!!! Would Recomend 1000% and more!!!!!
Better than for Hamsters
Pros: The Sound!!!
Cons: There is a definite blind spot in the right rear; merging to the right is tough. The Kia Soul is amazingly spacious. All my driving is city driving and I get a consistent 27 mpg with a 5 speed and 2000 cc powerful 4. The AC is cold; the electronic goodies are plentiful. But the best thing about the Soul is the incredible sound system. Kia's come a long way!
Great travelling vehicle
Pros: The interior space.
Cons: No dip stick on transmission- I like to check fluids...We have been with KIA for a few years, and this is the forth car. (Sedona, Sportage, Rondo, now 2011 Sorento). Very pleased with the ride and big car feel, handling and MPG. But, as always, the warranty rules, especially if you have a great dealer with a great service department. The safety rating is a plus, which we hope never to test!!! Overall quality is great, and I'm pleased that it was built in the US with a majority of US made parts.
EX V6 vs '06 RAV4 V6
Pros: NAV system w/rear camera, hands free/voice activated blue tooth.
Cons: MPGI presently own a 06 RAV4 Limited w/ V6, 3rd row seat. I just purchased a 2011 Sorento EX V6 AWD.For just $2K more than I paid for the RAV four years ago,I have leather int, NAV w/ backup camera, Bluetooth, chrome 18”wheels, 6 spd auto, better speed display, rear door goes up not sideways, little more room inside. But, a LOT more performance from RAV,better handling, easier to drive around due to smaller size. Also better mpg. The EX so far w/900 miles, 16.5, 17.5 (18.5 mostly hwy going 70-80 mph.) The ride is softer in the EX not as truck like in the RAV. 3rd row seats easier to get into and little more space. My wife LOVES the EX luxurious int and ext.I like the performance of the RAV.
Best SUV in its class!!!!
Pros: Push Start!
Cons: There is no way to listen to the radio once you turn the engine off?Wow! Luxury package at an economical price! The Navigation system is very acurate! If your in SoCal I recommend the Santa Ana Kia dealership, GREAT customer service!!!!!
Pros: Sound System
Advice: great compact grocery getterThis is a great compact grocery getter. I get about 31 mpg on the road. The ride is not as great as other vehicles that I have but we got it for mileage & it does that great. The sound system is great. I would reccomend this car as a great tool for running around.
