2003 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: power and ride
Cons: somewhat sedate exterior styling
Advice: give this car serious consideration
very smooth and exceptionaly stable with the sport package. Tires are a little bouncy and I would change to the new Michieln Pilot AS when due. Cabin is very quiet and well layed out. Stereo is excellent. Nice torque at lights. I traded my 95 BMW 540 and can say other than the cheesy wood trim, this car performs as well as the beamer (hopefully without the huge repair bills)This is a great value car which handles like a dream. -
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: Silky smooth, breathtaking performance. Silent inside.
Cons: A little jittery on poor roads. Wide turning circle due to front-wheel drive.
Advice: Take the time to check out all the added value features. Read a leading consumer magazine to verify incredible reliability.
The I35 is a big car, nicely disguised as a scorching performer. Either that or - it's a bomb, nicely dressed up as a conservative sedan. Either way, it can pass as a luxury sedan pulling up to the Ritz, and then go out and blow the doors off Mustangs and Camraros. I've had ZERO problems of any kind coming on 12,000 miles and it's been across the country and back. It's graceful and silent inside with many luxury features and nice touches. It has a wonderful, solid FEEL to it. Whatever you ask of it, the car just does it. While it drives like a big car, it responds and doesn't wallow or hesitate. WONDERFUL feel to the brakes. I like the styling. It isn't tricky or gaudy; it's a nice looking 4-door sedan. Comes with wonderful warranty and roadside service, both of which you may never need. Wonderful stereo! You should hear Mozart or Brahms or Nancy Sinatra on it! The six-disc changer is easy to work and the controls on the steering wheel are just right. Super-comfortable driver seat and all the passengers I've carried so far love it. This includes my 91-year-old mom who rode across country in it. -
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: Confident power.
Cons: Dealer almost 100 miles from my home.
Advice: Get it
Great car! Sunroof leaked first week on road. Should have been noticed at dealer. Their response to problem was excellent (Yeah Infinity of Richmond!). Power is super, ride excellent. It is not a Mercedes, but at half the price it is more than acceptable. -
2003 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: OVERALL QUALITY & COMFORT
Cons: APPEARANCE
Advice: DO NOT HESITATE
ONE OF THE BEST, MAY BE THE BEST IN ITS CATEGORY,DO NOT TELL THE MANUFACTURER OR THE DEALERS, UNDERPRICED, IF THEY CHANGE THE NAME & ADD $20,000 ON THE MSRP, INFINITI MIGHT OUTSELL LEXUS OR BMW. EXCELLENT BUY. -
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: the engine, smooth and refined, powerfully responsive
Cons: exterior styling may be a touch conservative, could ride a little smoother on rough pavement
Advice: don't buy an extended warranty
Smooth and refined transmission with more than enough reserve power upon demand to pass up most vehicles on the road. The engine of the I35 is awesome, silent under crusing conditions. As expected from Infiniti, the fit and finish of the vehicle are superb with excellent interior materials used. I specifically like the CD changer / sound system and am especially fond of the heated steering wheel living near Lake Tahoe where the temps are oftendip below freezing. Like it's brother (the maxima) the I35 has not disappointed me with its reliability having not even a minor defect noted in over 5,000 miles of driving. I am impressed with Infiniti's confidence with this vehicle as they warrant it to a level 10,000 miles greater than other luxury competitors (to 60 K). On a value scale the I35 comes with many options are is priced very attractively to its competitors. -
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: Too many to list; I think the combined package as a whole.
Cons: A little harshness in the ride, which later turned out to be tires very much unevenly inflated.
Advice: Take your checkbook. To drive it is to love it.
After looking at many others, most of which had higher price tags, the I35 won, hands down. Is to me a perfect blend of sport and luxury. I'm particularly impressed by the overall quality, even in places that aren't obvious. It's clear that someone had great pride in the workmanship of this vehicle. I feel great pride in my ownership of it. I think it's the one I'll finally keep for many years to come. -
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: Ride and Handling
Cons: This car has the Navigation system (have to by total of 9 discs to cover total USA ) (The G35 and Q45 Use a DVD 1 discs for the USA)
Advice: There is No Better Buy with all the goodies
This is my second Infiniti I had a 2001 I30T ( which was fully loaded) that was hit in the rear and was totaled. The hole rear was gone. The passenger compartment was not hurt, only the rear window was damaged, I looked at nothing but a new Infiniti and picked the 2002 I35 over the new G35 I like the front wheel drive ,The new Infiniti has a lot more power and many up dated features In The year 2002 I did not consider any other vehicle In 2001 I did look at others as listed below .
