Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: The high performance look and feel.
Cons: The dash is barely visible when lights are used in the daytime.
Advice: Be prepared to pay for tickets.A fun car to drive. It makes you want to drive it fast and take the back roads to the grocery store or on a trip. I was sold on the first test drive and am still happy with the decision. There is a bit of understeer that takes getting used too, especially driving through the mountains as I do.
Pros: Seat are so nice!
Advice: Go to a dealer in ScThe drive is smoth and quite with great pick up seed.
Pros: Performance and power
Cons: Blind spots around the rear view mirror.
Advice: Try this one on for size before spending $5,000-10000 more for a lesser car.I did research on the G-35 for over a year and was impressed by the response that this car was getting from the pros. To say the least, after owning one for two months now, I understand why the praise is merited. This car almost does the driving for you, yet if you want to 'get down with it', you will know you are driving an exceptional car. Taut, yet smooth at the same time, it's as if the G knows the road you are taking. It's surprisingly modest with the fuel for a high performer and I run at 75-80 on my 30 minute commute to work. There is plenty of comfort and room but not in excess - just enough. I rarely feel fatigued, even after 2-3 hour trips. A drawback for me seems to be a blind spot to the right of the rear view mirror and I am still trying to adjust. Lots different from my 99 Buick Regal which I was very satisfied with, but the 35 is no Buick. I tested the CTS, Acura TL and the BMW 325 - all very nice in their own way but in my opinion, they fell short in overall performance, handling, ride and value. Frankly for me, this was a 'no brainer' to say nothing paying nearly $5,000 under the sticker price from the dealer. Even though I live in the middle of Missouri, I fail to understand why I don;t see more G 35's on the road. I wanted Infiniti to 'Show Me' and they have.
Pros: Auto headlights, nav system
Advice: Enjoy!!A very comfortable counterpont to my M3. Wife's car, but I enjoy driving it. Good for touring, well equipped. No trouble in 10 months.
Pros: reclining rear seat
Cons: lumbar support
Advice: Get the sport tuned suspension if you really want a tight handing carYou feel as if you are driving a Porche with the sports tuned suspension and horsepower. The ground effects make all the difference in the looks of the car. Great choice.
Cons: Passenger side seat doesn't come with power adjustible buttons until 34K
Advice: Expect to pay about $520 a month on a $0 down lease @ 34K priceI just bought this car in Mar of 03. My parents got this for my 17th birthday, and let me tell you this machine is a 'beast.' I've driven quite a number of cars since my household cars are all leased. This one is incredible, acceleration is super fast with just a light push and a stopping distance you can't belive. If you don't belive me read Motor Trends Aug 2002 edition or Car of the year issue.Everything you read in the reveiws is true, there is no gimmick. 'Own one and you will understand.'
Pros: A little foot on the gas and you are gone!
Cons: The Xenon headlights don't get far down the road on low beam.
Advice: Tread lightly on the brake pedalThis car has great pick up! For me, it was by far the most comfortable of the cars listed below. Interior and exterior appearance very nice. In spite of the magazines' bashing of the control placement, I found this very intuitive and easier to use than other cars. It seems to have slightly more road noise than a BMW. The biggest difference between this car and the BMW, very light touch on the controls! BMW felt stiff, required 'more' driver input to make it work (steering, gas, brakes, and SEATS). REALLY enjoyed the coupe version of the G35, but needed a little more trunk room than it offers. For a couple grand less than a BMW, it's a great car!
