    2006 Hyundai Tucson - GLS (A4) FWD

    Pros: handling

    Cons: tires

    Advice: ask for better tires

I like my 2005 Tucson, look, handling, comfort is all good. Now the bad. I have not had my Tucson for a year yet, I have driven it 13K miles and I am already having to replace the Goodyear tires. The Hyundai dealer service manager said that Hyundai put regular car tires on the SUV, like the Tucson. Not good. I advise new buyers to ask for better tires from dealer. Tires are not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. Also the headlights on my Tucson are cockeyed. Service dept. tried to correct, no success as yet.

    2006 Hyundai Tucson - GLS (A4) 4x4

    Pros: the overall looks

Cons: the manuel drivers seat adjustment

Advice: The 10year/100,000 warranty says alot

After a short test drive, my wife and I were hooked. The 2006 handled quite well with the ESC thru the wet curves we drove on. The power is sufficient for our needs. Also the creature comforts are outstanding and user-friendly on a vehicle of this size. We would recommend this vehicle to anyone shopping for a smaller suv.

    2006 Hyundai Tucson - GLS (A4) 4x4

    Pros: stereo and looks

Cons: gas mileage could be a bit better and the center arm rest could be higher

Advice: well worth your time to look at these vehicles

i test drove the 4 cylinder gl model first but i was put off by the lack of power. i then drove the 6 cylinder and found it to be better matched for the vehicle, much better pick up and not shifting so much. i was impressed by the quality overall of the vehicle and the warranty is second to none. well worth a more than a casual glance if looking for a small ute.

    2006 Hyundai Tucson - GLS (A4) FWD

    Pros: Interior design

    Cons: nothing

    Advice: Shop around

Tucson has alot of features that are standard. Excellent pick up and I got 28 mpg on the highway. The Tucson interior is very comfortable and has room for 5 adults. I just love the storage space and storage space cover. Exterior is sleek and my Tucson has a great paint job. This mini Suv is a great value and I know value, my other car is a Corvette. Parents need to review this auto before they buy for their kids or just for themselves. This auto is great for the new college student. Great job Hyundia!!

    2006 Hyundai Tucson - Limited (A4) FWD

Pros: Safety eqpt., ride, storage/cargo space, auto climate control, leather, audio system.

    Cons: disappointing gas mileage

Advice: Shop around, but you won't beat the overall value when considering the price, quality & warranty.

Very attractive SUV with an abundance of amenities. The doors have a Honda feel/sound upon closing &, though a bit loud during accel., the engine is smooth/refined & the trans. shifts smoothly. Leather interior has a quality look, but the bright metal trim on dash is subpar -- brushed silver would look better. Would have preferred an 8 way power driver seat & a lower/further backward adj.for taller drivers. Only avg. 17 mpg during first 700 miles in suburban driving, but when considering the 3500 lb. weight & added V6 performance I'm not unhappy, but Hyundai should have the engineering expertise to up the mpg by at least 5 more overall. The dealer experience was pleasant & I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Hyundai!

    2006 Hyundai Tucson - GLS (A4) FWD

Pros: I LOVE my heated seats. Also it's a great looking car for getting around the city--so cute!

Cons: Flimsy armrest and not very serious sounding horn. I also wish the handle to open the glass on the rear door was more substantial. Gas mileage could be much better.

Advice: Test drive both the 4.0 liter and v6 engines so that you really have a sense for the difference.

I test drove 3 models--the 4.0 Liter, the 2WD V6 and the 4WD V6. After driving all of them, I found the 2WD V6 to be the best handling. The 4.0 liter really didn't have the power to accelerate quickly enough for fast paced city and highway driving. The 4WD V6 handled well, but seemed a little heavy and with the standard ESC feature I don't feel like I needed the 4WD. The 2WD v6 was just perfect. I couldn't believe the difference between the V6 and 4.0 Liter driving performance--if you ever need to accelerate up an incline (as I do to enter the highway)I would not even consider the 4.0 liter engine.

    2005 Hyundai Tucson - LX (A4) 4x4

    Pros: ride and safety features

Cons: roof-rack which was optionally equiped. not worth 200.00 to me

Advice: honda crv a great vehicle but design not equal to tucson. ford escape a bit frumpy

considered honda crv and ford escape, but good reviews and sleek appearance drove my decision.
