Pros: easy in and out of car
Cons: resale valueDrives good, rides well for a small car, the gas milage is decent around town. Does not hold it's value. Not a good buy for a short time.
Never a Hyundai again!
Cons: steering wheel doesn't tilt and it's electric steering systemI live upstate New York, in the Hudson valley. I previously owned a 2001 Buick Century, as for perfomace, ride, comfort, fuel mileage and buying parts for this Elantra, the ole Buick is my favorite choice. I'll be kicking myself for 5 yrs for not buying the Chevy Impala or similar GM models for an additional $1,500. I really feel ashame that I allowed the dealer to con me into believing the Elantra to be a better choice, especially on the account of the better warranty. Yeah this car will last a long time, it just sits in my driveway to remind me of the stupidity I was with door nicks in the side panel.
Best bang for the buck!
Cons: material on console armrest looks like it might wrinkle with useThis car drives bigger than it is. In other words it's demeanor from the drivers seat is more midsize whereas it's demeanor from the outside is more compact. Very nice ride...firm yet not harsh. Acceleration is not rocket-like but that's not what you're expecting either. My combined city/highway mpg is about 24+. And that's about 80/20 (city/hwy). Very roomy interior, comfortable seats, stereo is better than average but certainly not spectacular (comes with 3 months free trial of satellite radio) I had a 2002 Elantra which never gave me a bit of trouble. At this price, I don't think any other manufacturer can compete. My wife's Nissan Versa is pretty close, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have the warranty that the Elantra has. If you're looking for this type of car, you cant bypass the Elantra. Test drive it. I'd be surprised if you didn't chose it over other comparably priced cars.
Love the 2009 Elantra Touring
Cons: nothingGot my 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring using the clunker program. It may be the last car I buy since I am a young senior and had my Cougar 14 years. I didn''t want to look like a little old lady car so I got a Chili Pepper red color. It is so much fun to drive it, I would like to drive it much more, but don't need to. It had every amenity I wanted (except possibly a moon roof) and better price than comparables. I have long legs and it is very comfortable and I love the look and the way the back opens and the seats go down for my craft shows. Recommend it to everyone.
i cant kill it--best car ever
Cons: no air vetsI drive over 150 miles a day and this car just keeps on going--35-38 miles per gal STILL--great car to travel with--it is also a snomobile (with snow tires all around) can't get it stuck in snow
Fun to drive !!!!
Pros: Sequencial tranny
Cons: the rear viewkeep in mind : that's a coupe !!!! so for 2 passenger this car is faboulus ! Good handling, stiff direction, you can feel the road ! Fuel economy is very good, trouble free after 70,000 kms ! what a deal !
Cons: NothingLoved this car but can't tow a trailer with it
