Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: the looks, off road capability
Cons: engine, poor quality, fisher-price interior
Advice: buy this vehicle only if youre going off roadHas the acceleration of a school bus. Can barely make it uphill. handles good.
Pros: the truck is always in 4 wheel drive- gets 20 miles to the gal.
Cons: brake and gas pedal too close together- can't wear large tennis shoes to drive
Advice: test drive or rent one before buyingbest truck i ever bought. i waited a year before buying and read all of the reviews both postive and negative. i was going to rent a hummer for a test drive but could not resist a great buy in a used 2006 fully loaded. i live in a mountain area and found he hummer has all the power you need. the hummer is totaly different than a conventional car or truck and is in its own class. if you are use to driving a fast car don't expect the same of a hummer. this is a military design and is made for a special purpose.when you drive off the road you wil see what it is all about. my wife like it because it is big and safe. people will always be looking at you where ever you go.
Pros: The look of luxury.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say.
Advice: I would buy another one without even thinking about it. Hands down it is our favorite SUV ever.My husband and I like our H3. We had a Madza 6 and it was a rough ride, but the H3 rides very well and is not bad on gas. It is so easy to park and everywhere we go we seem to draw attention. Everyone wants to see. We are very thrilled with the room it has on the inside, my hubby is a tall guy, but has leg and head room. We are sold on Hummer's and my hubby is looking at trading in his GMC truck for another H3.
Pros: Moonsoon stereo system with 6 CD changer
Cons: Gas milage could be better
Advice: Great luxury SUV for the priceDuring the test vehicle handled great. Turns were smooth and sharp.
Pros: the awesome front end
Cons: other than afore mentioned.nothing really
Advice: do yourself a favor....try one out.....you will drive it home the same dayhave had my h3 for a couple off weeks.....looked at different makes of suv's not worthy of mention compared to h3.Only couple of draw backs........be careful when backing up,and need better placing of cup holders
Pros: GPS/XM Radio/sound
Advice: Don't buy the H3 if you're looking for fuel economy, that's not why it was built.A follow-up to my review back in March. I've taken my H3 up and down rocky hills and driven from San Antonio to southern IN and in both cases it handles excellently. I will hesitate to say my H3 gets 15/20 MPG as rated. I feel it's more like 12/18 MPG, but that's just me. It's still a great ride with luxury and style. I am 6'2 and my right leg begins to get sore when driving for over an hour, even with cruise control. The moonroof is too big and way too noisy and windy. In my Volvo, I'd open the roof and wind would never come into the car, but the H3 roof is too large and doesn't deflect the wind at all; which doesn't make driving pleasurable like before. Still, I am happy with my H3. Rick M. (San Antonio, TX)
Pros: The overall comfort and safety.
Cons: Backing up
Advice: Get the Lux Package on an '07 H3I've only had my '07 H3 for over a week, but love it. I've been on dirt trails, city roads and freeways. I've already driven in pouring rain and the H3 pushed through large puddles easily (okay, I admit I didn't try to avoid them). The gas mileage isn't the best, but considering it's a 5800 pound vehicle, I won't complain. The ride is awesome and luxurious (I ordered the lux pkge). The nav system and XM Radio make the short commute to base easy and enjoyable. I feel considerably more safer in my H3 than in the Volvo 850 I owned before buying the H3. Completely satisfied at this time.
