Advice: Overall, the best mid sized SUV on the market, buy it.I test drove several mid-sized SUVs and bought the Hummer H3. I decided on the HUmmer because of a mix of factors: look, comfort, potential resale, affordability, interior space, et cetera. I have not been disappointed. My only complaint is the lackluster acceleration.
Pros: body style
Advice: good buy but long wait on manual transmissionsExtremely comfortable and agile vehicle even with the 33 inch tires. Manual transmission shifts smoothly. Took a while to get use to the lack of vision(side pillars & rear mounted tire) however you do adjust. Cornering and parking is no different than a jeep so I was pleased with that fact.
Pros: all of it.
Advice: buy it.all i can say is i love it.its all i need in a suv,its bad to the bone.
Advice: wait another year before buying. The Hummer HO3 is too new with the 5 cylinder engineMy new Hummer HO3 is three weeks old and has 180 miles and one night the Hummer did start but it will not run. I took it back to the dealer and they told me that the engine number one cylinder was out. The Hummer was so new to them that they do not know the reason. Its been 2 days and the Hummer is still there. I hope that others will not have this happen to them when they are out on the road and the Hummer just will not run
Pros: Quiet; small windows makes you feel behind an armored car
Cons: 5 cylinders? give me a break
Advice: pass on the yellowIt's an eye catcher; for both guys and girls. It's not so much as ' in your face' as the H2 but at a distance you confuse the two. It's a little slow at start but picks up smoothly once you get it going. The ride is superb for this type of vehicle and very quiet. The upgraded sound system needs nothing else added. The dealership wants a premium for it since they are selling like hotcakes but pass on many of the accessories since you cn buy them aftermarket cheaper and with more variety. Overall it was worth the wait and I can't keep myself from grinning that I actually went ahead and bought the car. Loving it.
Pros: Interior & exterior appearance, very refined & luxurious, great fuel economy, reasonable price
Cons: Could have more power, otherwise no downside
Advice: HUMMER H3 LEAVES COMPETITION BEHIND - HANDS DOWNI bought my HUMMER H3 this last weekend. When I was at the dealership there were literally not enough H3's in stock to have one for everyone who wanted to buy one. Once you drive the H3, you know why: this HUMMER is BY FAR THE BEST car I have ever driven. I traded in my Mercedes C class and consider my H3 a big step up. It's roomy on the inside, just the way I like it, and it's styling is a vast improvement over the somewhat random and seemingly cheap-looking interior of the H2 - this one is definitely a lot more refined. It has just enough gauges to keep you going and safe, and the arrangement of all instruments is logical and stylish. The leather seats in the Luxury edition of the H3 are as comfortable as they are in the H2 (one of my main worries was that a smaller HUMMER would not be as comfortable as the larger ones - do not fear fellow HUMMER lovers - that's not the case). Space, though not unlimited, is abundant. The exterior remains as edgy as I think a HUMMER should be. It says 'I will not compromise for anything other than what I want, and if you don't like it, that's your problem'. HUMMERS are not for the faint of heart or for people who like to conform. HUMMERS are for individuals who know what they want and don't care what others think about it. And this H3 expresses that. Thanks GM. Finally a car that expresses my character. I love it, and BTW - it's the first American car I have ever bought. GREAT PRODUCT.
