Pros: Heavy, safe vehicle
Cons: Visibility is limited with the small windows - we are a short family!
Advice: Have back up sensors put on!I bought this for my 16 year old son, and gee wiz, once I drove it - I wanted it for myself. It handles really well and has the best safety features.
Advice: Buy it, get the Adventure package with the Luxury upgrades. Then aftermarket accessoriesLooked at many, many other SUV's and Mid sized SUV's. The H3 is by far the best of both when considering amenities and price points. First weekend I had it couldn't help putting over 800 miles on it through forest and mountain roads other SUV's could have only gotten to if towed in by a HUMMER. Needless to say LOVE IT. Only improvement could be more horsepower. But then again, if I want to drive fast I will drive my 350Z. Buy a H3 you will love it.
Pros: xm radio
Cons: heating & A/C
Advice: not enough horsepowerSlow on pick up, needs more power. Handles poorly at highy speeds in the rain. Rides smoothly on and off road. Off road in 4 wheel low is great! Towing a trailer is great except for the lack of power. Turning radius very good. Visitablity is not so good but the little windows make for good style. Not enough creature features.
Pros: Styling and manuverability - parking is great, and people keep looking at it.
Cons: Back Seat inclines too much when retracted - the dog keeps sliding!
Advice: Automatic is adequate, MPG really is the EPA numbers of 14/20. Get aftermarket barsAt two months and 3000 miles, I have some experience in this baby. I've driven the back mountain roads to Tahoe, and taken hiway 1 from San Francisco to San Simeon and back - the vehicle was a dream to drive! The 5 cylinder is adequate - enough power for passing, and good at 75-80 mph highway speeds (my normal). The engine only had difficulty passing at extreme inclines - but we are talking almost two tons of machine here! Maneuverability (turning radius) is fantastic; parking in San Francisco is a breeze! Interior space is good for four big adults - though we have gotten five in. Visibility is also good - don't let the small windows fool you, it gets comfortable. The vehicle size is easy to judge, so backing isn't as much guess work with the spare tire view obstruction. Mileage on trips averaged 19-20, in town 13-14, just like my corvette! Being a new style, it gets lots of looks and comments ('washed it in hot water, huh?') - and surprises about how large the interior is when it looks 'small' on the outside. I've also added an iPod connection, so sounds are good with the 'base' radio. Also have the Explorer package with sun roof, and added some bars to the package. I think my Vette is feeling left out - the H3 is just too much fun!
Pros: Iconic HUMMER design, adventure series package, superior blue color
Cons: steering wheel texture, i didnt get the leather wrapped
Advice: get oneI actually traded my Colorado z71 crew LS for it. I really like how this vehicle rides and feels. The acceleration is overcome by the rest of the vehicle. Besides you want people to see you in it.
Pros: just driving it!
Cons: 5 cylinder inline
Advice: buy it i do not believe you will be sorryi am very happy with my new hummer h3. it is very well made, and the quality pleased me. it is fun to drive. only draw back is i wish they would have put inline 6 cyl in it. the 5 cylinder is peppy but not enough when fast exceleration. love the looks i get when i drive it. the stereo kicks!
Pros: Stero system
Advice: You won't be disappointed. As soon as I sat in it and saw how stylish and comfortable it was, I knew I had to have it! I loved the drive, the status, people just stared at it. Driving in town and they point to it as if to say 'Wow, that is hot!' And I look great in it. Sound system rocks, I have the luxuary package, only way to go.
