Pros: ride and handling
Cons: blower motor noise when fan is off
Advice: the awd is the way to goin my opinion the fusion is not meant to be a performance vehicle. it replaces the taurus, and exceeds expectations. the v6 has plenty of power, the ride smoothe and quiet. a great choice for a mid size sedan. the awd v6 a good value compared to competition. the blower motor is on continuously, even when the fan is not. this is annoying. you must turn the cotrols off to have quiet. of course you will either freeze or bake to death by doing so. all in all i am very pleased with my new fusion
Pros: It was easy to walk away from after we returned it to the rental service
Cons: Interior was designed by someone using crack on the job.
Advice: Pass this one up.We rented this heap for a 5 day vacation- what a joke. If you're over 5'10' you better pass this thing up or you'll look like Deeno from the Flintstones with your head through the roof. The performance was similar and sounded like a 1976 Pinto I once owned and road noise? OH...MY...GOD. Take a hearing amplifier with you when you drive it. Having been a Ford owner for many years, I'm sorry to say this car is a true loser.
Pros: Gas mileage
Cons: Rear visibility, Limited A/C louver adjustability
Advice: Go with the V6...I4 is underpowered...I4 sluggish. Get the V6.
Pros: The V6 Engine with All Wheel Drive
Cons: Sound System, too much bass
Advice: Buy it if you want a great affordable carLOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I have had my new 2007 Fusion for about a week. It's fantastic, a very smooth ride and great acceleration. I have the V6 AWD which handled beautifully with all the rain and slick roads we've had. The style of the car is great with a very roomy interior. Even the back seat is comfortable.
Pros: quiet ride
Advice: get the v6. plenty of performance.drove the 500 and then the fusion. the fusion impressed me with its quiet ride. handling and performance was great. style also impressed me.
Pros: Satellite Navigation
Cons: Trim Quality
Advice: Go with the L4 engine, don't spend extra for SEL trim. Interior chrome is just plastic and scratches easily.I ended up purchasing my Ford Fusion. I had a 2006 Fusion S with an L4 engine. I was impressed by the power it had for a 4 cylinder. The last 4 cylinder I had driven was from the late 80s, so perhaps that is the norm now. However, when I stepped on the gas with the V6 I was amazed! I have the navigation system. I highly recommend, it has amazing features. The sound system leaves a bit to be desired as far as clarity though. This is with the syrius satellite radio. Overall quality is great but fit & finish leave a bit to be desired. Don't touch the finish on the Piano Black, it scratches if you breath on it too hard. Performance and handling are great! V6 idles roughly but when driving it runs beautifully.
Pros: Quiet Ride
Advice: Take a look at body panels, trim, molding... Look at amount of foam in engine, make your own determination.Just purchased a 2007 Ford Fusion... Not a bad car, only I notice their are a few things that seem very cheap. For instance, the trim and molding around the windows have huge gaps where the rubber is suppose to meet the metal. Another is I notice alot of foam and cheap looking seals under the hood, I know many cars are made like this, but in my opinion, this cars construction as far as its seals will not hold up over time (leaves me wondering about other things/more important things). I have noticed that body panels are not even, for instance, I can fit my fingertips between edge of the hood and the right headlight while at the same time I am not able to even fit my fingernails between the other side. I like Ford, and prefer to buy American, but their are things that leave me wondering and hesitant... The car does ride nicely, smooth and quiet, nicely equipped too for the money.
