2010 Ford Fusion
Cons: QualityOver the past 10 months I have driven a 2010 Ford Fusion with the 4 cyl engine. At 8,000 miles the transmission started slipping and shifting poorly; Ford reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). At 10,000 miles, Ford checked the computer and told me it was running fine. When the transmission would not shift into 2nd or 3rd regularly, shutter, and slam into gear at 12,000 miles, Ford replaced the transmission. However, the mechanic told me that the car's computer still 'thought' the car was operating properly. An Internet search resulted in others with the same problem. The new transmission is working fine. Sometimes when I try to start the car, the engine just turns over continuously without starting. Ford needs to fire the computer programmers & designers. The AC vents don't angle upwards enough. Otherwise, the car handles nicely and is relatively comfortable for its small size.

2010 Ford Fusion - SEL FWD
Pros: comfort and pick up in new engine
Cons: would like the blindspot alert lights to be standard
Advice: great buyTest drove the Fusion. The 2010 upgrades are awesome. The pick up in engine is great now. Driving is fun and very comfortable. The sync is nice but lots to learn for a not so gadget swavey driver. The hands free phone is great Comfort is great.
2010 Ford Fusion - SE FWD
Pros: Looks, features, comfort,
Cons: The SYNC is not as 'cool' as I thought. When giving an address to drive to, it never can understand what you say. After dozens of attempts, I pull out the trusty Tom Tom!
Advice: I recommendI have had my 2010 Fusion SE for 4 months now. I am overall very pleased with the car. I wonder somewhat about the gas mileage. Advertised 34mpg hiway, I am getting 24.8. I'm counting on improvement over time.
2010 Ford Fusion - SE FWD
Pros: Interior is user friendly and comfort along with Large trunk space. Standard features outweigh last 2 vehicles (Chrysler ) by far.
Cons: Rear visiblility when parking.
Advice: test drive and see for yourselfFord got it RIGHT on this one. Plenty of comfort, pep, quality and very good gas mileage. On my first trip got 30.2 mpg.
2009 Ford Fusion - SE I4 (110A) FWD
Pros: very slick looking with the spoiler
Cons: thumping of the steel lane inserts on the highway
Advice: you wont be sorrythe 4 cyl is very fast and comfortable to drive.at 6,4 inches tall im very comfortable behind the wheel.the gas mileage is very good about 31 on the highway doing 70+ city 24.all in all a good package and the price was right
2007 Ford Fusion - SEL I4 (120A) FWD
Pros: safety features
Cons: parking it the first day
Advice: Buy the SEL for th features either 4 or 6 cylNeeded a car for our daughter. Traded in our 2001 Durango getting 11 MPG on a good day to get her something with better gas milage. Went with the 4 cylinder in the SEL. We consider it one of our best purchases. The Fusion is an incredible vehicle. Comfortable, good looking, nice inside with the interior laid out well as most Fords are, Handles well, and gets good gas mileage. Over the last year, average is 24-27 city, and 31-33 on the highway. All depending on driving conditions and whether ones in a hurry or not. Safety was a big concern for us. Our daughter was recently in an accident, hit from the rear while stopped and sitting still, by a Saturn traveling 55 mph. She walked away with a bump on the head from hitting the steering wheel when hitting the car in front of her. The Fusioon looked like it had been hit at 20mph, the Saturn was totaled. 10,000 dollars worth of damage. I drove the competitors while the car was in the shop,(camry, accord) and none came close in comfort and driving/handling. Bottom line the Fusion is a great car, and is put together to please the eye, the wallet, while keeping the occupant safe with its great frame and many safety features.
2007 Ford Fusion - SE (200A) AWD
Pros: ride and handling
Cons: blower motor noise when fan is off
Advice: the awd is the way to goin my opinion the fusion is not meant to be a performance vehicle. it replaces the taurus, and exceeds expectations. the v6 has plenty of power, the ride smoothe and quiet. a great choice for a mid size sedan. the awd v6 a good value compared to competition. the blower motor is on continuously, even when the fan is not. this is annoying. you must turn the cotrols off to have quiet. of course you will either freeze or bake to death by doing so. all in all i am very pleased with my new fusion
