Pros: appearance of vehicle
Cons: 6 speed automatic
Advice: get the V6 for more passing power. still not a racer engine however, will get you around someone when passingHAve only had the vehicle for a day now however, it has made a good impression on those who see it.
Pros: Steering wheel controls
Cons: The Bright light control is like a hair trigger
Advice: If your looking for a midsized affordable car get a Fusion. The first time I sat in and actually drove my Fusion SEL I could not believe that it was a Ford. In the past I have owned Ford Escort's, Ford Taurus's, Ford Focus's, and my last car was a Chryslar Cirrus. The Ford Fusion SEL won me over the minute I took the test drive. The ride is smooth and very stable, it hugs the road and does not 'floot' like the Taurus does. It has a beautiful and functional interior design, the only negative thing I can say is that it is very easy to unintentionally turn on the bright lights or 'high beams'. The exterior is extreamly pleasent to the eye. I'm absolutly in love with this ride. Plus it is priced better then other similer cars, the gas mileage is very good 19 to 20 in the city and 27 to 29 on the open highway.
Pros: redundant audio and climate controls on steering wheel, sporty handling, quiet ride
Cons: If I had to pick..........hmmmm........more midrange power from 30-50 mph.....that's it!
Advice: Looks are deceaving. You will be surprised how much interior space you have...Get in.I took delivery of this vehicle two weeks ago. To sum it up, it is Quiet, handles like a true sports car, and ergonomic. There is virtually no wind or road noise, OK, I had a Taurus previously, very little external noise. Great off the line acceleration (V-rated tires will spin but grab to send you off) and great passing power over 55 mph. Midrange passing 30-50 mph can be improved but do you expect for 210 horses. The 6-speed automatic transmission makes it feel like it has 250 horse power and it has no problem finding the right gear. I know this car will out-handle anything in it's class - TRUST ME! Make sure you get the SEL V6, it'll be worth the money. This car is Fords flagship vehicle and will take a bite out of Import sales all around. Quality is top notch with the seats more comfortable than the Ford 500 (also more leg room - if you can believe that) Back seat room is impressive for a smaller car and trunk space is satisfactory. Best purchase my wife and I has ever made. If you own a altima, Camry, or Accord, gotta give this one a try.
Advice: try it out! you wont be sorryFord has come a long way considering this is the replacement for the fading taurus. Ford really went to a lot of thought for this beautiful vehicle. i have driven a honda accord, nissan altima, and hundai sonata and none of these really match up to the all new ford fusion. this vehicle feels like it wants to drive, to be taken around a tight corner and really test it to the extreme. Many complain that the 221 horsepower V6 isnt powerful enough, WRONG!!!!! this v6 is top of the line with quite a bit of power for a smaller 6. Yes they could make a 300 horsepower engine as an option, but who wants that kind of gas mileage. All in all, ford was smarter than any other make to reveal such an outstanding car to buyers looking for something just like this to crave the american car craze.
