This was a decent family car but upgraded to something with a bit more room and power.

2005 Ford Freestar - Signature Limited

Pros: 263 lb. ft. Torque - $15K with only 35,000mi.

Cons: my limited does not have memory seats or adjustable pedals. And sunroofs/but better for hail in GA.

Advice: Only truck like minivan available.

Much better than my old Windstar. Only minivan I would drive.

2004 Ford Freestar - SES Sport Appearance Plus (130B)

    Pros: DVD

Cons: constant vehicle failures while it is still 'new'

Advice: Do your research and shop around other car dealerships

We have purchased the minivan on August of 2005. Ever since our purchase, the factory built in DVD player stopped working, the front brake pads were squeeking and after it has been changed to 'top of the line pads' the squeeking is gone but brakes are still not fulfilling its duty , and now transmission failure! Wow, what a 'great' vehicle.

2004 Ford Freestar - SES Sport Appearance Plus (130B)

    Pros: Roomy interior

    Cons: performance (brakes, acceleration, control)

Advice: Buy a Dodge Grand Caravan.

The braking is the worst I have ever seen in my life. the steering wheel won't stay straight and it gets tiring really quick. We hit the back of a Dodge truck and had to get a new bumper. We were only going 5 MPH and it ruined it. The owner of the truck was nice enough to let us go because the truck had 1 little scratch on the bottom of it's bumper. We bought it because we needed a van at the time and it was the cheapest one we could find. We regret this mistake!!! We eventually sold it and got a Grand Caravan. It's the best car we have ever owned.

    2004 Ford Freestar - SE Standard (120B)

    Pros: The power liftgate

Cons: No Navigation, and windows dont go down in middle rows

Advice: Look at more better minivans like the Toyota Sienne

I really like my ford freestar limited with the turn signals in the mirrors and the power liftagte and leather seating. I also love the heated seats and 3 zone air conditioning, its awsome. I like the 6 disk cd changer and the dvd system my kids love it. I also love the 18 inc tires and power sliding doors.

    2004 Ford Freestar - SE Standard (120B)

    Pros: Lots of room

    Cons: Poor construction

    Advice: DON'T

I leased the Ford Freestar in MArch of 2004. I'm glad I leased as I will take great pleasure in returning this piece of junk. In the 18 months I have owned this vehicle: 1) the heating fan broke 2) the gas pedal FELL OFF in 65 mile an our traffic causing me almost to be killed by a semi as I could not control the speed of my car because there was no pedal!! 3) The mechanism that controls the side mirrors broke - so back to the dealer again!! 4) the van is NOISY! When the windows are open you can't hear yourself think. 5)A high pitched whistle has developed in the front end of the van that will make you nuts.Dealer can hear it but can't pinpoint the source. 6) no less than 5 pieces of the van have fallen off and had to be fixed, including the brake pedal top, the back top rear selt belt holder, the inside trim on the passenger door, etc. 7) the 'safety doors sensors' that are supposed to keep the sliding doors from shutting on little fingers don't work I have written 2 letters to Ford (both unanswered or even acknowleged) and complaints to my dealer go unheeded as they are 'assembly issues' My dream car has turned into a nightmare. I love the roominess of this vehicle and the third seat is very easy to put down or up. But the van as a whole is a poorly constructed piece of junk.

    2005 Ford Freestar - S (110A)

Pros: 3rd row seats that folded away. Quite and comfortable ride.

    Cons: No AWD.

Advice: Great value for the money.

Surprisingly a well built and quite minivan. Prior vehicle was a BMW and Subaru, and was impressed with this American Vehicle. A very comfortable ride, and great value for the money when compared to the foreign made minivans. (Rebates helped tremendously with the lower price.)
