2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Premium Automatic (130A) 4x2

Pros: My favorite thing about the 'track' is the multi function that suits my life style without having to get a car and a truck.

Cons: I am realy dissapointed in the poor quality of cloth interior.

Advice: Get the optional leather trim package

Very fun and pleasant to drive. My sport track only has about 3k miles on the odometar. Due to my tight scedule I havent had time to test the real capabilities of the truck. So I am looking forward to my summer vacation to get the opportunuty to test it out when it comes to longer trip with a 21ft.boat attached to its rear end.Having taken the option of the 4:10 rear end the fuel consumption is high, especially in city traffic.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Premium Automatic (230A) 4x4

    Pros: the bed extender

Cons: the grey finish on the interior handles

Advice: bed extender and roof rack are two great options

i have 6000 miles on my sport trac and that includes a 1000 mile trip to canada with my bass boat in tow and 4 passengers and i don't have a single complaint. my wife and i both think this was the ideal truck for our lifestyle and it has lived up to that expectation. there is plenty of power and the seats are very comfortable and we love the look of the truck. it has gotten a lot of compliments since we have it. we highly recommend this vehicle.

Pros: rear roll down window and deep cargo bed

Cons: not good for off road unless have 4x4

Advice: get the auto trans...it's nice and reponsive

This is a cool truck for the money. It has a lot of upgrades that you don't expect. For ex, the tie downs, the ford emblazed under hood protector, nice rims, and nice interior, fancy floor mats. It's the best for the price.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Value Manual (100A) 4x2

Pros: Rear a/c, rear stereo controls with earphones

    Cons: overhead compartment

    Advice: Get some added features

Drives great, looks great. You need the bed extender and the bed cover. Extremely comfortable. If you have kids and dont want to hear their music, get rear controls with earphones. I love the way it sits up high.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Value Manual (100A) 4x2

    Pros: power down back window

Cons: the wheel wells have to much exposed to the engine.

Advice: get the Hard Tonneau top and cage extention

The concept of the Sport Trac has been very usefull. The ride is tight, and the handling is responsive. I only had the sport trac for 5 days, so it's still new, but I put it to the test and it held up quite nicely. I get more looks from the kids then I do the parents, because it does stand out as a cool looking truck.
