Pros: leg and head room
Cons: 13 mpg around town
Advice: do not get the moonroof!Other than the low mpg I didn't really have too many complaints about this veh. I too had the rearview mirrors problem where they didn't hold the presets and wouldn't correct after reversing. I have a new problem...several water leaks (from rain) in the drivers area. The water is leaking from the sun visor area & the emergency break release handle...probably something with the moonroof. I rarely use the moonroof as I find it to be very loud when opened.
Pros: The drive, the stereo and the air conditioner.
Cons: gas mileage but not bad for a large SUV if you drive it conservatively.
Advice: Drive conservatively.Drives like a luxury vehicle. Very easy and smooth. Great acceleration and power. Had a little strain pulling a three horse trailer though. Good handling and breaking. But a little hard to back up due to blind spots, you have to look a lot of different directions to make sure you aren't going to hit anything. Recommend electronic sensors.
Pros: being big
Cons: gas hog & radio station changer in rear seat kids love pushing buttons & top heavy (easy roll over)
Advice: don't buy you'll have to remorgage our house for the gas 11 mpg i never realized how bad that was especially at todays $loved it. But rent one first (you'll see)
Advice: get bigger engine-(v8)ok
Pros: Navigational Display - Heat and Cool Seats - Air bag suspension
Cons: Transmission problems at 506 miles new Over Drive went out.
Advice: This is a very smooth and quiet vacation vehicle. Good thing we have a large garage. Very classy inside and out. We did go so far to purchase the Husky Liners to protect the tan enterior carpeting. Test drive it. Be prepared to spend money on gasVery nice and quiet. Very nicely equiped for anything you would want in a car/suv.
Pros: Info Center
Cons: Sun Visors are suppposed to slide for additional sun converage according to pg 104 of Mar 04 Owners Manual
Advice: Buy it you wont be sorryRides great and has plenty of horsepower. Plenty of leg room and loads of storage capacity.
Pros: I like the styling for a large vehicle
Cons: MPG @ 14.5, would have liked a diesel option
Advice: Buy used OR wait for huge rebatesI do like this truck (my wife hates me calling it that). However it is not near the vehicle that my two Sequoia's were. I've had the rear end replaced at 7000 miles. It went into 4wdLOW on my wife while she parked at a gas station 500 miles from home. It handles like it looks, big and slow. However it is the ultimate for hauling kids, junk or pulling a boat. My wife didn't like the Infiniti FX45 as the family vehicle so I kept it for myself and traded my 350Z for the Expedition for her. Biggest complaint: $47,000 vehicle, 1 year old, High Book now at $25,000. Fortunately with the X plan and rebates I got $11,000 off but that's still a huge hit. Don't like to do it, but would have been better off buying a low milage used one. This one has depreciated so much that I have to keep it now. I usually trade every two years, but the loss on this one will force me to keep it unbtil it's paid down some. That's probably a good thing anyway.
