Pros: the cockpit feel
Cons: high back trunk
Advice: its like all cars, some are great and some not. this car is worth that gamble for the price.I bought the sporty coupe model because of the look and feel. It will be paid off in a month! This car has been every bit as good as the 2 Accords and Camry I've owned. I have not had one problem AT ALL with this vehicle with 66,000 mile to date (K.on W.). Oil changes, gas, and (6) tires is all I've spent on it an it still runs like new. I'm giving it to my son and may by a new one to turn over to daughter in a few years.
Advice: Don't buy itI have owned this car for about a year and I absolutely hate it. It is the worst car I have ever owned. My transmission jars when you put it in gear and they told me all Stratus' do this. Engine is loud. Value drops way down.
Pros: I hate it!!!!!
Cons: The Value
Advice: Buy a used oneDO NOT BUY THIS CAR BRAND NEW!!!! I bought a 2004 Stratus for $19,000 and here I am 2 years later, owing $15,500 on a car with a trade-in value of $5,000. These cars take a HUGE hit in value during the first couple of years. If you want a stratus...do not buy it brand new...get a used one that is at least 2 years old.
Pros: The way it sits low to the ground
Cons: hmmmmm like every thing really about mine
Advice: Want something stylish but good on gas get the SXT want power get the R/TI just wanted to say I agree with anyone who says the Stratus R/T is a sharp looking car with power. I here people say they are dissapointed by there SXT model not having power or being gutless. Well what do u expect u bought a 4 cyl. U want power spend the extra money and buy the R/T. No its not mustang or camaro power. But for a girl like me its got the power I need plus doesnt guzzle the gas the big muscle cars do. And so far my engine is very quiet. And with any car u can always get a lemon. Spend the extra $1,000 like I did and buy the extended warranty. I wont have to worry about paying anything but a $100 deductable on anything gone wrong before 80,000 warranty. I just personally couldnt see why anybody would by a car that they thougth was uncompfortable, ugly, or uncompfortable. That is dumb on there part. But I find my car extremely compfy nice sleek style and drives great I can take a curve of 45 at 75 and have no body roll. The R/T sounds really great when starting it up to. So just be smart do your research at carfax.com and make sure u dont get a lemon. Anything can be wrong with any kind of car its your responsibility to make sure u dont get stuck with a lemon. So dont bad mouth a great car because u didnt do your research.
Pros: The Shape of the car
Cons: The seat covers
Advice: Buy it. Its a great carGreat speed on the Great turning on corners. Brakes are very good. The Accelaration on the car is fantastic.
Pros: Interior very sharp.Good stereo.Sunroof handy.
Cons: My knee leans against console edge.
Advice: Get 5-speed.I have the SE trim, with two tone leather and sun roof, and 5-speed 4cyl engine.Car has great accellaration for a 4 cyl but still gets over 32 mpg hwy.Handles great.Very stable in corners, but still delivers comfortable ride.I'm 6'5' so I could use a little more leg room but thats true of most cars.Car looks great from front and side, back could use more style and lower trunkline.Discontinued for 2006probably because confused with 4-door model. Should have named it Charger.Dodge Charger should not be a 4-door.
Cons: everything else
Advice: Don'tWhile looking at new cars we had the displeasure of riding in one of the most horrible vehicles I have ever been in. This car only had a few thousand miles on it. The outside-beautiful! The inside-horrible! Nothing but plain really hard plastic, really uncomfortable seats, ridiculous amount of whining engine noise. I haven't been in a car this sad since the Yugo! Don't be lulled by it's looks, this car sucks!
