Owned for 3 months so far
Pros: Hard to pick - but i like the Exterior/interior styling
Cons: gas mileage is overrated- i drive it like a baby and average 14.8mpg in the city. I haven't done any extensive driving on the highway. But I did take a 150 mile road trip and averaged about 19mpg on the highway. Navigation system is too expensiveI have owned this car for about 3 months and I realy like it so far. The handling and power is great. Comfort, roomy for myself and passengers. Also it can handle a good sized load in the back- even more when you fold the rear seats down. I got the soundgroup package and I like the Sirius/XM radio alot with the 8.4' touch screen. I opted out of the navigation system though because of the expense (crazy right?) I may add it in later when the price drops a bit. It was like an extra thousand dollars when i can go buy a Garmon or Tomtom for $150.
Pros: The chrome 20's
Cons: Havent found anything yetI've bought many vehicles and for the money this has been the best purchase I've made. The ride is great and the looks cant be beat!
Pros: how many seats it got
Cons: least space2010 nitro
Pros: no favorites
Cons: lack of convenience of acesseries for driver--gas milagejourney rides, handles and looks good. not too pleased with design of interior, not convenient for driver (dash boardm cup holders, power seat ) car has many blind spots to overcome) key is awkward and cumbersome and no light to find the hole for the key
Cons: touch screens and head lightsHead lights are TERRIBLE. Touch screen for radio, etc, is lousy.
Pros: The color (inferno red pearl coat) and the style of the exterior
Cons: The interior materials and quality
Advice: Look at all your options and decide what kind of suv your looking for.the 2010 nitro should not be confused with non truck like suv's.the ride and handeling of this suv is firm and can transmit jolts to its occupants when the pavement is any thing less than smooth.Though the front seats are comfortable and the dash layout and controls are easy to reach and use,the interior plastic should be brought to par with its competetors. I don't think the dodge boys were trying to make a posh suv but one that was rugged and had truck like ability and tough looks. The 3.7l motor works fine but could use a five speed trans and 3.55 gears instead of the 3.73 that came standard in my vehicle that is a 4x4. this would help the mpg's. Overall I like this suv and if properly maintained it should last a long time. This is a utility/truck suv that has a true off road feel to it with up right seating without to much posh. So if all out comfort is what you are looking for this may not be your cup of joe. but if rugged good looks solid practicality and true 4 wheel drive ability are. Then you might just want to look at the dodge nitro 4x4 or 4x2 models.
Pros: The drivetrain.
Cons: The console.
Advice: The '09's are pretty rare, so it may take some searching around to find one.I bought my 2009 Caliber SRT-4 in August of '09. It now has 10,000 miles. I have been very impressed with this vehicle so far and have had zero problems. The performance is excellent. Using the in-dash performance computer, I can achieve 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and have hit the 1/4 mile in 13.7 seconds at 100 mph. I think that's pretty quick for a 100% stock car. I love the aggressive look of the car and also the extra room versus other compact hot rods. My only (slight) dislike is a somewhat awkward seating-to-console position. There's no clearance to use the console iPod mount while shifting gears. Other than that, I give the '09 Caliber SRT-4 a 9 out of 10.
