2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x4
Pros: At first it was the appearance.
Cons: The running boards continually become a risk to use. Need to be wider and more supportive or to just go away. Fashion over function.
Advice: Look at something else. The gas milage in and around town will bankrupt you.One of the smoothest vehicles I've driven and it's also fairly comfortable. But... The roof rack is a joke. They should either commit to a quality rack that supports weight or just not offer it. I placed an aftermarket 'sports box' the type you can load skis or snowboards into and seal them off from road grime. After I installed the box I noticed that the crossbars were already bending without anything in the box. I ended up putting them inside between the heads of my friends in the back seat(not exactly safe. The transmission overheats easy and then does not shift properly when towing a boat on a trailer thats less then 80% of it's rated towing capacity. Twice the rear latch has failed to lock and has partially opened while driving. If I put some equipment ito the back that requires me to fold down the rear seat. I cnt drive properly because the seat is pushed to far forward. I't getting traded in this spring....

Advice: on used vehicles TAKE YOUR time especially if it is your first timeI bought my 2005 trailblazer 4x4 ls in dec 2005 and at first I did have a hard time with the handleing/steering of it but I blamed that on the fact that I was used to my 1993 pontiac grand am so after letting time and miles go by I got got adjusted to it and now I love it On the highway it is a bit windy and I am a bit deaf (born deaf but with a few surgerys I can hear what I hear now The thing that upset me most is the dealer I purchased it from (Jeffreys in southfield) they claim to have done a 27 point gm certified inspection on this trailblazer and I drove this home at 845 pm it was snowing like mad out so I go to use the 4x4 which was good but I was close to home and tuened onto my street and and I almost totaled the blazer the back tires were almost no tread I went to the tire place the day and replaced them (250.00) and they even said they should not have passed inspection, then I have not even had a month and it is in the shop for warranty work for a fuel sensor replacement cause the gas gauge quit working and and cd player had to be replaced because it quit accepting cds now i just wait to see what will happen next over all I still like the blazer just not the BUGZ

2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x4
Pros: turning ratio
Cons: the terrible and unreliable 4wd system
Advice: DON'T BUY IT!!!I own a 2002 Trailblazer LS. It has been the biggest headache of my life. Everything that can go wrong with it has. Its spent the majority of its short life at the dealer repair shop. The wort problem has been the 4wd. Its been in the shop over 16 times for JUST 4wd issues, not to mention the whole host of other problems. Its going in tomorrow to have a new blower motor put in...the 2nd one. Thank god I bought the extended warrenty. I can't wait to unload this peice of junk. I will never buy GM again!
