Pros: The great looking exterior. QTY of extras
Cons: To low to the ground for serious off road excursions.
Advice: Take your time and work the price of car and ext warranty down. I saved 5k off the list and 500 of the ext. warranty. The Tahoe is a great riding SUV. I opted for the Z71 package which is great for towing and off road hobbies. It is very roomy and comfortable and has lots of room for people and equipment. The out side looks are great but even better with the Z71 package as it adds 17' custom wheels, all terain tires, painted bumpers, mirrors and wheel well flares which dresses up the std exterior very nicely. It also seperates you from all the other Tahoes on the road.
Pros: THE RIDE AND CONVERTABILITY
Cons: GAS MILEAGE, BACKING
Advice: BE PREPARED TO GET ABOUT 11 TO 12 MPG AROUND TOWN IN THE 4WD MODEL.THE AVALANCHE HANDLES LIKE A DREAM, MUCH BETTER THAN MY 1500 SILVERADO. ALSO HAS A PLUSH INTERIOR. CANNOT SEE VERY WELL WHEN BACKING. IT NEEDS A BACKING SENSOR TO COME STANDARD.
Cons: engine size,power
Advice: definatley buy one,but watch for the good rebates, drives real smooth, easy handling, could use a little more power.but overall real nice, and what a looker, got the dale earnhardt model, gotta love it.
Pros: On Star
Cons: Payments but 0% is pretty good
Advice: Try it - you will like it.I have been looking for the right new car for several years. I finally saw the new Chevy Impala LS and fell in love with it. After driving it, I had to have it. I feel like I am driving a true luxury car. I love the heated leather seats, the programable driver center that show the direction I am traveling and the outside temperature. It also has 3 buttons that you can program for garage door openers. No more looking for the remote.
Cons: Small back seat
Advice: Buy the extend cab with the 4.3 liter engineThis is my 2nd S-10 4X4. I've owned a Ranger, B-4000, and a Tacoma. This is by far a better truck than any other I've owned. The powertrain of a 4.3, mated with either transmission has much more low-end torque than the others; I highly recommend the 3.73 rear differential. Going over the mountain passes in Colorado is a breeze with the S-10. Off-road, it has performed without a flaw. In my opinion, this is the best compact pickup made.
Pros: GERTAG SHIFTER
Advice: DEFINITELY INVEST IN THE LS SPORT PACKAGEWIPERS ARE INFERIOR. PLENTY OF POWER. NICE, QUIET RIDE. EXCELLENT SOUND SYSTEM.
Pros: ride and handling..... gas mileage is also good.
Cons: automatic headlights
Advice: buy it.very good vehicle. power seats on both sides a real plus. paint chips very easily. first gear shift is hard at light throttle.
