Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Gas mileage
Advice: It is very economical and dependable for a $10,000 price tag.I have owned for four months and have used as a commuter vehicle daily for the past month. Vehicle has performed excellently on a commute of 250 miles a day so far. Also averages around 35 to 36 miles per a gallon. Very satisfied would recommend is very economical vehicle.
Cons: Lack of: armrest, auto locks/windows. Interior noise unbearable. Auto lights annoying.
Advice: Buy a Honda CivicI've been driving a Cobalt for two weeks, since my car was stolen, and I can say that this is one of the worst offerings from the US domestic auto market. With no armrests and poor layout, it's uncomfortable at best. Visibility is limited by thick awkward columns, and oversized trim making this a dangerous car to drive as well. Road noise is deafening on the highway. No power windows or locks on the basic model render this model anyingly inconvenient. The auto headlights are also annoying making a simple procedure like flashing your lights to signal semis to change lanes a chore. Drive this car, and you'll be convinced to buy a Honda Civic.
Pros: the way the back end looks
Cons: the smooth ride and the sound system
Advice: buy it...it is worth every pennywell i wasn't sure what i was looking for, but let's just say that this was the only car that i test drove...i loved it so much that i bought it that day without even looking at anything else
Pros: Stereo and LOOKS of it!
Advice: Get one!My first car. I'm 16 years old. I bought a 2007 Yellow Cobalt LS. GREAT CAR!! My friends just love it!!
Pros: Smooth and quiet!! Sound car!!
Cons: Really nothing!!
Advice: Drive it, you'll buy it!! Seriously!!I can't believe this car! 2007 Cobalt LS, Great quiet ride, Great pick-up speed for passing! Great stereo system. I'm a 6'4' 250 LB. Man, and I FIT GREAT in this car!! The wife and kids love it too. Really, go drive ONE, or TWO!! We just bought another 2007 for our 16 year old daughter!! She loves it too.
Pros: mp3 capable with ipod input stereo!
Cons: no armrest
Advice: you will love owning this vehicle!!!The Cobalt is an impressive winner of a vehicle. I remember reading price is what you pay, value is what you get in return. The LS can be had for $12500 with automatic, air, nice cd player and a tilt steering wheel. The car compares to civic, corolla, Sentra but really is better priced than Fit, Yaris, and Versa. You also get 100000 mile warranty, but unlike the second tier Korean builders, you also get a much nicer car than an accent or rio. I felt really good getting a car with the motor and transmission made here, supporting GM instead of Toyota, AND getting a better vehicle for my money. You cannot touch the value this car offers without spending real money at least 4000 more. I know the resale of this 12500 car will be there as gas hits over 3 dollars per gallon. Please do yourself a favor and test drive the car, evaluate the product delivered for money spent and realize you are getting a great vehicle that fun to drive. I know my daughter was proud to show this gift off to all her friends.
Pros: I don't have just one favorite feature, overall I just love the car.
Cons: the small backseat
Advice: If your looking for a quick, sporty, comfortable car...this is the one you want.I love my car. The iPod jack is a huge bonus and the digital information center is also one of my favorites. I love how quiet the engine runs and it does have a lot of get up and go. I love the exterior of the car as well as the interior. Overall I love my car.
