Pros: Surprisingly powerful engine, interior design, exterior appearance
Cons: e-brake under arm rest, small trunk opening
Advice: Test drive it. Take a good look. I think you'll like it.We really liked this car from the first moment we saw it. The Cobalt we bought had the sport package with the nice rims and premium sound system with bass speaker in the trunk. It just looks and feels sharp. You've got plenty of power for passing or whatever. Out of all the cars in the same class this one is easily the leader overall.
Pros: The look.
Cons: It's not an import so reliability is still unknown. (Chevrolet has been getting progressively better since 1997
Advice: If your looking for a niceCar drives very well. It is more solid than the '05 Civic or Corolla, and has significantly less road noise. Not as peppy as my '93 Accord but way more power than the Civics and Corollas. The controls are conveniently located on the steering wheel. The only downfall is the restricted view created by the large front beams. It is also a very comfortable ride -- the seats have a nice finish and are very supportive. The headrests are kind of at a wierd angle, though. Overall A+ PS: my previos vehicles are 95 Wrangler and 93 Accord (the years didn't go low enough)
Pros: engine seems powerful! nice to have info on the computer.
Cons: terrible internal storage space, no place for CD's, glasses, glove box is too small
Advice: This car is going to be a hit against its japanese rivals, much better than Corollas or Civics, of course 10 times better than Ford FocusMy wife and I bought 2 of these, 4dr auto, Cobalts. Very nice car, much nicer ride than the Cavalier or the Sunfire. We also got a great discount!
Pros: Keyless entry w/ trunk pop.
Cons: Speedometer is on the wrong side. If you drive with your left hand, you can't see how fast you're going. Also, emergency break under armrest.
Advice: Test drive it - decide for yourself - I still can't decide, just because I've never had a Chevy car.I test drove a 4D Cobalt LS and took it home for the night. I really liked this car. I was told it was just a more expensive Cavalier - same engine, etc., but the Cavalier I drove first didn't even compare. This will sound blasphemous, but I believe this car handles and drives better than my girlfriend's 04' Civic EX - and that is coming from a long line of Honda fans. I'm hesitant to buy because I don't know if it will hold up as well as a civic though. I put about 90 miles on it though, so I got a good feel for it. Quiet ride - really solid car.
Cons: no rebate
Advice: do like me, wait for a rebateGod i want this car for christmas, i test drove a blue coupe and it is a nice car inside and out .
Pros: the supercharged ecotec
Cons: unknown resale , where the rebate of 5000 dollars chevy?
Advice: get a huge rebate , since its resale is unknownhot car
Pros: the seats
Cons: the front end of the car and unknow resale value
Advice: wait for a rebatei test drove a chevy cobalt base coupe with the 2.2 ecotec l4 , its a sweet car. the inside from its seats to the dashboard are first rate , very expensive looking evan better looking then say a civic inside though i thought the outside of the cobalt front nose was a little boring for young drivers taste like myself but it look hot from the doors to the back tailamps on the coupe. i am thinking of buying one but i'll wait for the GM Rebates before i buy a chevy, Sorry chevy, nice car but if you want my money i need a rebate like the cavalier in case the resale is bad.
