2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Hatchback

    Pros: Sunroof

    Cons: Radio

    Advice: Get one fast

I just bought a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo, and with today's gas prices, its an excellent car to have. Its a small car with all the options I want in a big car, power windows, power steering, power locks, keyless entry, security system, rear wiper, air conditioning, fog lights, power sunroof and cruise control. I am 6'4' tall 260lbs, and I fit just fine. On the freeway its very smooth, and it handles great.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - Special Value Hatchback

    Pros: unique, playful appearance

    Cons: no internal hatch release

Advice: if you drive it, you may actually find yourself liking it

I recently traded in my '04 VW Golf for the Aveo. The decision was based on the need to lower my payments. I was very impressed with the way the Aveo handled during the test drive. It actually ran at a higher speed with lower RPM than my Golf. I appreciate the fact that there appears to have been some thought about the design of the vehicle. Our dealer tried very hard to get us to buy the Cobalt, but it felt very cheap to me. Funny thing to say considering I bought a car that cost $5000 less. It lacks many of the features I was used to with my Golf, but I can live with the fact that I have to actually wind up my windows now.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

Pros: Gas milage, comfort, space for it's size

Cons: no centre consol, sound it makes when you lock it

Advice: Great for a first time buyer

I've only had my car for 2 months but I love it. It's great on gas, good on the freeway, overall a great car for the price.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

    Pros: Fuel Mileage

Cons: Having to put in an aftermarket Cruise control

Advice: Really a neat little car.

This little car has more leg room for the driver and front seat passenger than my Avalon has (and the Avalon is pretty roomy.) It rides quite well, it's really very quiet, and the mileage is really great. I had to put in an aftermarket Cruise which was a real pain, but it works well (just be sure to really read over the installation directions if you buy a Rostra kit, They are not well written for the manual transmission kit.) If you are looking for a small economy car I think it's a great choice. The price is about the same as a used Focus around here and you get the warranty and a zillion GM dealers to honor it.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

    Pros: gas millage

Cons: the fact that i have purchased a death trap for my children

Advice: if you have children do not buy this vechile

I liked my chevrolet aveo untill the day that my 4 year old daughter was able to pull it into gear with no keys in the ignition causing her to crash into a near by step and some trees, we were able to move the shifter up and down without having keys in it untill the shifter was hit on which shoved it back into lock, this is not a safe car at all expecially if you have children. My postal code is B0W 3T0 not what i have put down it would not take it.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

    Pros: GAS MILEAGE

    Cons: NO CRUISE CONTROL

    Advice: GO 4 IT

I test drove one with automatic transmission and standard transmisson. I bought the sporty looking summer yellow, standard transmisson with all the options I could get. I take delivery of the car September 6, 2005. 'Mine is coming from TN as there were none available in KY.' I am hoping for great gas milage and lots of worry free travel time! My comute to work is 33 miles one way. 'The yellow shouldn't be hard to find in a parking lot.'

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Hatchback

Pros: Gas Mileage and price of vehicle

Cons: a little cramped back seat.

Advice: Get the spoiler with the wagen to aviod dirty rear panel.

Rattles a little-but not too bad. Performs well. Engine has sufficent acceleration but not powerfull.
