2006 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Hatchback

    Pros: Cruise control

    Cons: Air conditioning vents position

Advice: Be careful with the dealers. This car can get overprice quickly if you don't watch them.

I have only had the car 2 weeks so I am still playing with different things. I am finding that the gas mileage is around 29 mpg. This was with my 1st fillup. I drive 100 miles a day to work so I am hoping that I can get it up around 32-34 mpg.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

    Pros: PRICE!!

    Cons: Arm rests

Advice: If price is a major issue

Couldn't find 2006 review to put in so I'm putting my new 2006 LT sedan here. This is not a Mustang. If you want a commuter car, cheap, it fits. Lots of people say get a bigger car but if I wanted a bigger car, why would I be looking at an Aveo? I found the car had lots of room inside for my 280 lbs and handled very nimble. Mileage should be better for a car this size but for the price range, it is more than satisfactory.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: Gas milage

Cons: Sometimes shifting is difficult to hit right gear.

Advice: With under 4,000 miles and cheap price, I am happy

Zippy with the manual transmission. Short turning radius, good head room for tall riders and pedels easy to reach for short drivers. Watch for 'creeping'! I first noticed this when I parked at the gas station on a slight incline and as I opened the door to get out, I realized that my car was creeping backward even though it was still in gear and the key removed! Be sure to use to emergency brake if on any type of incline and from what I have read of others experience, you might want to park someplace else or block the wheels if the hill is very steep.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: Distinctive looks.

    Cons: Noisy A/C

    Advice: Don't hesitate.

I bought the manual 5 speed Aveo in September 05 to pull behind the RV. It would be easy to pull and provide fun and economical transportation. It has been that although I discovered after purchase it can't be towed with four wheels on the ground. I had to buy a tow dolly for it. Even though the sticker projected 34 mpg on the highway, I was hoping I could coax more out of it. Not so. I get between 30 and 32 mpg. I love driving the car because of the comfortable ride and nimble steering. I haven't had trouble, but I am expecting trouble from the A/C. It was noisy when new and is getting noisier after 7000 miles. There is a strange smell when the A/C is first turned on.

2004 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: Interior room

    Cons: Stereo/Underpowerd Engine

Advice: Good overall vehicle (ESPECIALLY for the price)

I am really satisfied with this car. Looks like a little toy from the outside, but it changes the second you sit in it. The response from everybody that gets in it is, 'Wow, it's big in here.' I have the 5 door hatch model with the spoiler, and I'm very pleased with the overall look. Victory Red helps, too. :) It is very stable at high speeds (No, I didn't have it at 110 on the interstate!) The controls are very driver friendly. Easy to see around the car and driving it isn't a hastle. Accelerates smooth, but lacks in hp and torque. Good gas mileage on highway, which is what I travel alot. I put a Bazooka tube subwoofer in the hatch, and it sounds Amazing! I suggest it for a cheap and easy solution to the turd stereo system. However, the MP3 player is great! Get power, because you HAVE to lock the drivers door with the key if you don't. Great car for around 10,000 bucks! Can't beat it. Any questions about it, email me mike3292321@yahoo.com

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: gas mileage

Cons: at the dealer more than i drove it

Advice: Look for a better vehicle

I have recently purchased a Chevrolet Aveo after my 2005 Cobalt almost got me killed on the interstate when the computer crashed with only 2600 miles. The Aveo has a little more miles than that and low and behold here come the problems. Its been in the shop twice in the past two weeks for the same problem and more. The heater makes a loud rooring noise, a loud squeaking noise from the front and rear which they say is the subframe insuficiantely tightened from factory which has caused body of car to rub front tires and still not fixed. The transmission shifts very hard warm or cold. Tryed to install open recall and they crashed my computer system in my car. Look harder for a better car overall this car still needs a lot of work.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Hatchback

    Pros: compact size

Cons: Windshield wipers are noisy and it needs cruise control

    Advice: Go for the LT

I bought mine in August and love the car - it is roomy, handles well, gets great mileage and is overall a lot of fun
