Advice: Test drive it, floor it once, and I guarantee you'll like itI bought a '97 regal gs, fell in love with it, put 100k on it in less than 4 years, and bought a 2002 regal gs. i'm only 19, not the stereotypical buick customer. It's fast enough to race someone (not that i'd ever do that ;) and comfy enough for a long trip. What camry do you know of that will smoke the front tires? The engine is a dream, is very very durable (i put my old regal through purgatory and back, kept on going past 100k). People are now into souping up their cars, making them faster, only problem is that it voids the warranty. Buy a regal gs and you won't have to do anything to it. Not many cars can do 0-60mph in about 6.4 secs stock can they? It corners awesome (although in a hard corner, you can feel the car's bulk pushing the tires), and on a hard corner the rear end will give before the front end does (that 3.8 is pretty hefty). If there are any people who like to tune, the gs is easy to fix up. I've got an open exhaust and a smaller pulley on the supercharger and have been dyno'd at 304 front wheel hp, more than enough to leave an '03 Bullitt Mustang in the dust. Two words of advice if you buy a regal gs: ALWAYS use premium fuel, no matter what the price goes up to, and second is get better tires. I bought Michelin X-One's and they're a harder rubber than the Goodyear Eagles, which won't wear off as quick while they're smoking on asphalt. If you think the price is too high, take a test drive and take a look at all the standard features, then you'll understand the price. Advice: get the leather interiorWhat a surprise. My previous cars were Accord and Camry. Both high-quality, dependable drives. But I wanted something just a little bigger and more comfortable. I found a great deal on a Regal program car. Now, this is a comfortable car. Just a pleasure to drive. The looks are refined and clean. No clutter -- inside or out. The 3.8 engine is perfect for highway driving.It's powerful and not to be confused with peppy.
Pros: Interior quality and the Monsoon high wattage stereo system.
Cons: Somewhat a little mundane on exterior styling.
Advice: Sure you could get that BMW or Audi but for the money this car has much more value. I really didn't need a $500+ monthly lease payment. I have better use for my money!This is my second Regal GS. I previously had a 1999 Regal GS. I considered the Maxima SE but found I got a lot more for the dollar with the Regal. Excellent car and I am only 36 years old so forget the stereotyping of Buick buyers.

Advice: Forget the GS. Who wants to buy premium gas?While this car doesn't get much respect from the Nipponophants in the magazine industry, it is none the less an excellent vehicle. I have driven all of the Japanese competitors and found them wanting. This car handles as well as an Accord, but is so quiet that you don't realize it. It out accelerates the Altima and interior quality is far superior. This car is like driving a rocket. I think I experienced time-dialation. The stereo is excellent. The ride is smooth. The car is a keeper.

Advice: Much more than is offered in the century or comparable imports.Smooth acceleration and nice tight handling in corners. The braking is strong and controlled. The exterior is sleek and looks like a much more expensive car. The interior is pretty nice and functional although the cup holders could be a bit bigger to handle larger cups. Lots of standard options and a beefy 200 hp engine make this a great vehicle for the money.
