2005 Buick Terraza - CXL FWD

    Pros: Back up alarm

Cons: Instrument panel. Gauges are hard to read in daylight.

Advice: Get a thorough check out on how the rear seats stow and are adjusted

Nice car...lots of bells and whistles! But I have 3 problems. 1. Horn hard to find the 'sweet spot' where it will honk the horn. Dealer says it's normal????? 2. The CD changer jammed and won't eject discs. 3. Rear seat passengers complain about escaping air for prolonged periods. Dealer says it's normal????

2005 Buick Terraza - CX FWD

Pros: driving the vehicle, it's quiet, steers nicely, and is quiet.

    Cons: the small engine

    Advice: great car

I love this vehicle. It's seats are very comfortable and very adjustable. It is very quiet and economical. At 65 mph I am able to get 27-28 mpg. That is driving on an flat expressway without any wind or jack rabbit starts or stops. I drive with the idea of milking the vehicle for maximum mileage. At 55 mph, I can get 30 mpg under the same conditions. I would perhaps like more power so it does not need to shift down as quickly, but then I would get fewer miles per a gallon.

2006 Buick Terraza - CXL AWD

    Pros: DVD player

Cons: Repairs - still no air conditioning

    Advice: Don't BuyTill Problems Fixed

I have had the car for 4 months and have had a mutitude of problems with it: heater control head short (still no air conditioning!!) and it is on backorder with no expected delivery date, DVD static because they forgot to install a ground wire at the factory - I had wire put in but still static - they don't know how to fix it yet, brakes jerk because of rust on the rotors, 3 tires failed in 2 mos. and had to replace them myself - warranty did not cover - can't find any holes in tire - we think the valve stems were not tightened enough at the factory - so if you buy this car make sure you have them tightened by the dealer. I love the look of the car and the amenities but would strongly discourage anyone from buying this car until they work out the problems...hopefully they will. My dad sells GM cars so I hate to say this stuff but I don't want you to have the same problems on such an expensive car. The only thing GM will do for my inconvienience is send me an oil change voucher...gee thanks.

2005 Buick Terraza - CXL AWD

    Pros: DVD player

Cons: No airconditioning because of backordered part, in general - the repairs and expense of replacing the tires.

    Pros: The comfortable seat/ride

Cons: It's a little difficult to get in the very back row if you're an adult. It's easy if your a child!

Advice: Spring for the CXL, it's worth the extra money.

2005 Buick Terraza - CXL FWD

    Pros: Driver information center (DIC)

    Cons: MPG

    Advice: Buy it!

Found the Terraza to be very quite and comfortable. It is an extremely good looking vehicle that meets the needs of young and old. I am 70 years of age and enjoy the Terraza and all of its equipment and features. Performance is the only area that is not up to 'snuff.' Initialy acceleration is good. However, when at cruising speed or below, it is somewhat sluggish when called upon to 'kick it up a notch.' I don't understand why the 3.8 engine was not used in this vehicl,e However, I am able to overlook this shortcoming. The CXL has a multitude of features which is nice as I like 'bells & whistles.' It takes a while to learn how to use all the features.

2005 Buick Terraza - CXL FWD

    Pros: The quietness and handling

Cons: Probably the pick up but even that is acceptable for me

    Advice: Get one!

I was looking for a minivan with good handling that was very comfortable and quiet. The Buick Terraza is proving to be all this. I am retired and I was in the market for comfortable transportation for up to six people to use on trips, rather than taking the kids to their sports activities. I have driven a number of rental minivans over the past year and I have driven none that are as nice as the Terraza. It is very comfortable and so so quiet. The driver can easily here those in the back seats, without any effort (even at my age)!!! The vehilce is beautifuly appointed and comes standard with host of goodies. Perhaps the only drawback for some would be in the performance area. While the pickup is acceptable and the engine has nice torque (far better than some I have tried), it is certainly not stellar and will not win any off the line contests. But if you are looking for an extremely comfortable people mover, you cannot beat this vehicle.
