Pros: All the extras (when they work properly)
Cons: Lack of space and storage
Advice: Think twice before buying. Find someone who owns one and see if they have had any problems.I have owned my Terraza for 4 months. It has been in the shop 8 times so far, and is going back in tomorrow. Within the first 2 weeks of owning it, the alternator went out in it. Turns out there was a bulletin on it for that. Since then it has been in 4 times for the radio/DVD player, 2 times for the ABS/Traction control. My brakes like to lock up while driving. Tires needed replaced due to bad wheel bearings, my doors don't want to open (another bulletin on the latches), it has a rough idle that (of course the garage can't duplicate that concern, but you can sit in it and feel it...not to mention my gas mileage has dropped drastically), and doesn't want to start most days (but will after numerous attempts). It's going in tomorrow because the emergency brake is making a funny noise, and they are replacing the fuel pump and fuel line pickup assembly (or something like that). That is in hopes it will fix my starting problem (which I think is electrical and connected to my radio/DVD problems). I really regret buying this vehicle. It has been nothing but a headache!!!
Pros: It was the awd
Cons: the dvd player turns off when going around a corner
Advice: looking for advice, I dont have any yet I thought this was a great car.I am having trouble with the AWD not working. it was great the first two trips to the snow, we drove into town and it had been snowing the roads hadnt been plowed but the car handled great. the last two trips the back tires kept spinning and wouldn't grip the road we slid down the street for about 200 yards. I took it to the dealer and they say there isnt anything wrong. we went again this weekend and the car fished tailed while trying to pull out of the parking spot which was wet but had been plowed and other then a few patches of slush here and there the road was clear, every time I put the brakes they would grab and make this wierd noise and the rear of the car would pull to the left. any suggestions?
Pros: the new look
Cons: The leather seats and the fact the heat does not work.
Advice: Check ALL electricalI have had it 2 days and the blower for the AC/Heater does not work. Does not appear to be a fuse. We had driven another car same model but did not want that one because the radio was 'fuzzy'. Now I am concerned about the electrical. I have driven 3 different GM Minivans ( Sillouette, Montana and Venture) this is the first time I have ever had a problem. I hope this is not a picture of things to come. It drives great, handles great and looks AWESOME, let's just hope this is a one time thing.
Pros: Its look
Cons: Everything mechanical
Advice: Don't give the time day!!DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!! Nothing but problems. In the first two months I owned it the dealer put more miles on it then I did. Not little problems either. It would crank but not start and the check engine light would come on. The dealer had no clue what was the matter and told me to pursue lemon law. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.
Pros: 3900 Engine - 240 HP, lots of pickup.
Cons: Not enough gauges.
Advice: Drive this vehicle, it will sell itself.Test drove the 2006 FWD model with 3900 engine and test drove a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE. The Terraza was by far a better riding and more comfortable vehicle. The Terraza was extremly quiet compared to the Sienna, the seats were also more plush and comforatable. The Terazza is a great value for ride, comfort and performance. The 3900 engine is definitely a big improvement in the performance area, 240 HP compared to 200 HP. The 17 inch wheels also adds to comfort and handling of the ride. Get this drive train with the towing package, makes a great traveler for vacations.
Pros: exterior look
Cons: performance, electrical, lack of adequate room for adults
Advice: Do your research first! I may have a lemon but my recommendation is to pass by this vehicle.I have had my brand new Terraza in the shop 6 times in the last year. The radio continues to pop, the door locks had to be repaired, there is no pick up (acceleration), it whistles at 65 mph, and 'shivers' at the stop light as if it is going to stall out. The interior driver's seat is comfortable but the seats behind me allow very little leg room for adults. I would not recommend the Terraza and intend on trading it in very soon. I should have gotten rid of it a long time ago. There are several other quirks but I've run out of room to describe them all.
Cons: fit & finish of interior
Advice: Don't considerNumerous issues with vehicle especially the fit & finish. Vehicle has been in shop 5 times in only 45 days of ownership. Numerous rattles ranging from a door that will not close completely to dash and even steering wheel rattles that are a hugh annoyance. This vehicle is marketed as a 'quietly tuned' vehicle. Ours is not. Also had issues with allignment that have not yet been resolved. Lastly, the dealer put numerous creases in our sliding door when fixing it. This vehicle has not been a good experience. I would not recommend it!
