Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: comfort and quite
Advice: Live with incorrect fuel gage reading.Need to illuminate the instrument panel in daylight driving. Side windows small makes seeing oncomming vehicles difficult. Gas gage does not give correct reading if car is not level when starting. Uphill gives higher reading than what's in tank, downhill gives lower raeding. According to Buick this is normal and may take up to ten miles of driving for gauge to correct itself and give accurate reading. However, -according to Buick- you may stop car on a level spot and restart engine this will give you an accurate reading. The Buick mechanic told this to me with a straight face.
Pros: heated washer fluid.incredilble sound system.
Cons: its black.ill be washing more.
Advice: ive got the tiger woods edition.the steering wheel is so comfortalbe on both hands.as soon as i turned the key on my northstar,i was sold.this car gets the looks, and many others ask me about it.and i say that when i leave work,i use to drive home.when i get in this car, i am home!it handles like a dream.off ramps? no problem.im still at highway speed.go get em GM...the mark of excelence is back.
Pros: remote start
Cons: comfort of seats are bad,gas mileage not good
Advice: Dont buy it if you want good seats to sit onSeats are not good the 05 lesabre was twice the car
Advice: Enjoy! This car handles so well you think you are on autopilot. We have had Cadillacs for years and tried the DTS - the ride was really stiff and it needed to be steered constantly - it wore you out. The Lucerne is the quietest car we have ever had. The Northstar engine performs really well. Would like a little less stiff suspension but the ride is much better than that in the Cadillac.
Pros: Comfort and Smooth ride
Cons: Turning Radius
Advice: Great buy for the money.I have to admit, I was never considering a Buick as my next car, but at my wife's beckoning, I test drove the loaded version of the V6 CXL. Easily comparable to the Toyota Avalon (which I was highly contemplating) and plenty of back seat room for the kids. This is not your typical Buick (Over '55' crowd). I am in my late 30's and this is one of the best cars I have owned. Very quiet with little if any road noise even at high speeds. The car also provides many great features, too many too list.
Pros: smooth ride
Advice: drive it, you will love itVery happy with my purchase. The V6 is plenty of power for me. Sleek design and very nice to drive.
Pros: LOADED WITH FEATURES. INTERIOR IS NICE
Cons: EVEN V-8 IS N0T QUICK.
Advice: STILL A BUICKMy last car was the Nissan Altima with 3.5 V6 and sport suspension. I thought getting the V-8 Northstar would give me similar or better quickness. While car has plenty of overall power, thought it would be a little more fun to drive. Car has nice simple design inside. Plenty of modern electronic gadgets. Most people like the styling. Certainly a better looking car than an old Buick, but probably closer to an old Buick than it looks. I hope the new looks dont keep the old loyal buyers away.
