Pros: driving it at any speed is enjoyable
Cons: the run-flat tiresThe 328 is a great sedan. It's quiet, quick, handles great, it's gorgeous, and is comfortable for long drives. No, it's not as fast as the 335 or the S4, but it's faster and quicker than 99% of drivers will ever need. It's also very reliable and a joy to drive. Suspension is firm but not jarring and the steering is very precise. The cockpit is attractive and the car is well-made, but without the sea of buttons and switches that some manufacturers add. I love my 328.
Run Flat Tires are a disaster
Pros: hard top
Cons: Bridgestone run flat tiresI have had my BMW 3 series hardtop convertible for a year and a half. The car handles very well but the suspension can be jarring and the run flat tires are a disaster. I have been driving for almost 30 years and have never had one tire blow in any car until the 3 series BMW convertible with Bridgestone run flat tires. I have had 2 blow outs on 2 separate occasions by hitting pot holes. At over $300 a tire to mount a new tire it is getting expensive to drive this car. Also when accelerating from a near stop there is a pronounced hesitation by the engine (328 V6 model). I did not expect either of these two major flaws to crop up on a car that cost this much $$$. My 740 il had none of these problems.
