    2002 Toyota Sienna - CE

    Pros: Seat comfort. Lumbar support

Cons: 3rd row seating a nightmare to get in and out of.

Advice: Buy the power door models. Very difficult to get in on slopped driveway or hill.

I bought the Sienna CE back in 2002. No major problems until 2006. Tire inflation light kept coming on for nearly a year, even after replacing tires. Even the dealer couldn't figure it out for the longest time. It turns out that the rear brake drums were faulty and this was not a rare occurance. A safety bullitin had been issued years ago, yet no recall. It cost me over $700 for this repair. Car still rides good. No other big problems at 64k miles. Wanted Honda Odyssey, yet Honda dealers were out of stock for months.

    2002 Toyota Sienna - XLE

    Pros: Toyota quality

    Cons: Appearance is lackluster

    Advice: Just do it.

Had a 2000 Town & Country, someone hit us and totaled it. Although side impact safety saved our lives in the Chrysler, we had replaced the transmission at 25,000 miles, so decided on the Sienna to replace the vehicle instead. Pick up and handling are excellent in Sienna. Has had problem with brakes squeaking since purchase. Rotors changed out twice, but finally fixed w/ $20 NASA/Military technology tube of grease at dealership. Would purchase this vehicle again in a heartbeat!!

    2002 Toyota Sienna - XLE

    Pros: comfortable

Cons: Firestone tires developed tread bubbles.

Advice: Refuse to buy with Firestone tires. I have been told that they use Firestone because they can get them very cheap. You get what you pay for.

great mini van. the only complaint is the tires. The tires are firstone and at about 2000 miles the front end would wobble at 30 mph then smoth out. Dealer found nothing. I rotated the tires and the problem went away. I then rolled the tires acorss the floor and they had a bubble on one side. dealer still would do nothing. At 16,000 miles the front tires started wobbling again. now all 4 tires have bubbles on one side. Dealer still won't do anything about it. they say it is Firestone's problem. Firestone says it is Toyota's problem. I just purchased 4 new Michelan tires, and cut the firestone tires at bubble with band saw and found the tread delamanating from the core. Toyota and Firestone still say not their problem. The Sienna is great now.

    2002 Toyota Sienna - XLE

    Pros: Drives like a car.

Cons: Arm rests on the chairs are not up to par for the quality/price of the vehicle.

Advice: Don't hesitate, but ask Toyota to improve their arm rests.

Excellent. Handles like a car, but with enough room for a family.

    2002 Toyota Sienna - LE

Pros: The build quality is fantastic, this is our second Sienna

Cons: The sound system is still weak, even with the JBL set-up

Advice: Sienna will be redesigned in May, '03; to be larger; I still like the '02

This is our 2nd Sienna. We had a 99 XLE and loved it. The styling is smoother and the quality is superb. The seats are wide and comfortable, and the step-in height seems lower than the T&C. The engine is strong and smooth. We went with the Symphony model and also got the factory video system. The exact system on the web site is only available from the factory, so be wary of substitutes. The power door(s) are a must, and the captains chairs work best with the kids. My only wish is that they'd upgrade the brakes. Rear drums make for a mushy feel. They are dealing on this car (unlike the snobby Honda dealers).

    2002 Toyota Sienna - XLE

    Pros: Smooth ride

Cons: Third row seating is difficult to get in and out of

Advice: Buy XLE model with traction control. Get invoice pricing before you see dealer

Overall the Sienna delivered an excellent ride. Punch the accelerator and it takes off. It handled well and has a soft suspension which gave a smooth ride. Excellent visibility all around. Comfortable and easy to get in and out of seating except third row seats. Getting in and out of third row is a chore. Interior is roomy and controls are well laid out. Overall an excellent choice for a mini van
