Toyota Does Something Very Special For Their 50 Millionth Customer
Pays Off The Car Loan And More
Imagine you're having a family barbecue and a man in a suit walks in. One of two thoughts come into your head: "Why do the police want to talk me?" Or, "Have I won something?" For New York City Police Officer Michael Dee, it was the latter.
Earlier this year, Michael Dee became Toyota's 50 Millionth customer when he purchased a new Toyota Camry. When Toyota found out about this, they wanted to do something very special for him. So the company worked together with Dee's family to plan a surprise.
During a family barbecue, Toyota group vice president, Bill Fay, showed up to not only thank Dee for his purchase, but to tell him the company had paid off the loan on his Camry - but that wasn't all. In Dee's driveway was a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4 that Toyota gave to him.
"I don't know what say! This is phenomenal. I can't explain how much this means to my family and how grateful we are to Toyota! The whole 'thank you' thing just doesn't seem to cut it. It's a day I'll never forget," said Michael Dee.
