    2008 Toyota Highlander

    Great SUV

    Pros: Really fun to drive.

Cons: In town gas milage could be better.

Toyota hit the mark when they upgraded the Highlander. The ride is excelant, plenty of room, good gas milage for a SUV. We drive to Florida from SC to visit family and always are not tired from the drive, even after 8 hours and 450 miles. The drivers seat has plenty od adjustments to find your comfort position.

    2008 Toyota Highlander

Good vehicle if you are short

Pros: The quality of the seat leather

    Cons: the miserably uncomfortable seats

As a tall person, you may find this Toyota to be uncomfortable. The seat lenght from the hips to the knees is too short for a tall person. The seat length ends at mid hamstring making it miserable for anyone with long legs. It is not possible to position the steering wheel comfortably and still be able to see the speedometer. The slope of the roof is positioned in a way that a tall person must stop a way back from a stoplight if one is to be able to see the light.

2008 Toyota Highlander - Sport FWD

Pros: Dual AC and 3rd row seat.

Cons: The milage stinks we are getting 15 mpg and are suppose to get 19-22mpg.

Advice: Be prepared for higher fuel cost.

The handling and performance is very good states my wife who who is the primary driver and shuttles our kids to all of their functions. The third row seat is a plus for us coming from a Toyota Seinna for 5 years. It took us one month of solid research to locate a Highlander with the options that were important to us and not to have to pay for alot of additional options we did not want. The available configurations were either $35k to $42k, we finally located one with a MSRP of $33k 80 miles away. I am writing this review while sitting in Armstrong Toyota Service Department in Homestead Florida having them check out the source of the poor milage and the radio programing that was not programmed correctly (no SAT function). So far the Service Manager is telling me that I will have to drive the vehical for over 1000 miles before the engine reaches a decent average miles per gallon. I will do a follow-up at that time. I think it is untrue but will be none bias at this point.
