Pros: 3rd row seat, gas mileage, sunroof
Cons: limited legroom in 3rd row seat
Advice: Great value for a great auto!
It's on the Camry chassis, so it's a very smooth ride.

Handled very well. The engine has very good pick-up being a 4-cylinder. Very quiet, comfortable ride.

Pros: interior
Cons: gas mpg
Advice: it's a great vehicle
I loved this car since I first layed eyes on it. Upon the first test drive, I knew I had to have it. I absolutely loved it and knew I would not be happier with anything else. It is so roomy, airy, and open. I love the trim and the easily accessable sterio. Great sound and overall a great ride. I get a lot of compliments because not everyone has one.

2005 Toyota Highlander - Base w/o 3rd (A4) AWD
Submitted on 3/7/2005 3:48:52 AM- Summary
Pros: 3rd row of seats
Cons: Poor gas mileage. 18 mpg on the highway for a little truck, pretty poor
Advice: Great car/truck alternative for those Subaru Outback lovers who need a bigger vehicle but can fit 7 in a pinch.
Great acceleration (V6), tight turning radius, decent brakes, plenty of cargo room. Good fit and finish. Cigarette lighter recepticle pulled out from dash when I put a 2 to 1 splitter in there, questionable durability. Fuel economy has been horrible: I do all highway driving and have gotten 18-20mpg consistenly when driving around 75mph for long periods. I expected better. Gas guage takes a nose dive quickly around mid tank, and I can't tell how far I can drive before empty.

Pros: Side Curtain Airbags. I hope I never need them but glad they are available
Cons: Cargo area smaller than trunk of my previous car
Advice: This is a great vehicle if you want something larger than a car but don't want to drive a tank
This vehicle rides and handles like a car, very easy to maneuver. There are no blind spots. Lots of leg room in front and back. Back seats recline and move forward/backward. More cup holders than you can imagine! My only complaint...no cubby in center console for pens, phone, etc....

Pros: visability
Cons: roof racks hard to clear snow in the winter
visability is great...4 cyl. but has good pick up
