Best vehicle I have ever owned
Pros: Never had a problem with it yet.
Cons: It is a little small inside for a big guy like me.I have had this vehicle for about two years and have never had any breakdowns. I get the best gas mileage with this vehicle compared to any vehicle I hae ever owned. It runs very smoothly and is very quiet. What a great car.
They can do better
Pros: Good mileage
Cons: Hard ride.Wonderful car to drive. Good turning radius and easy to like. Car rides very stiff and is too low to ground to clear parking chocks. Have had to replace fender shields due to low profile. Good mileage as advertised and very serviceable. Do not understand hard ride.l Could be improved with better shocks and raising level above ground.
Excellent vehicle for value
Pros: Gas Miles get 31 + over all
Cons: transmission could be better, engine noiseHave 16000+ miles,'S' take care of it use 91octane,Toyota could improve this ,as this is their better selling vehicle they have not kept up with market trend, others have improvised like rear disk brakes engine prop, interior sound deadning could be impov ed
Pros: Comfort gas milage
Good value for the money!
Pros: Fuel economy
Cons: Not very quickSo it's not fast or luxurious, but it's reliable and gets good gas mileage. Have almost 160,000 miles on it so far. Not disappointed.
Pros: automatic cooling in summer
Cons: no power seathas all the features I wish were on the 2008 prius I previously owned. fantastic mileage more power better power in power mode
Can't beat this value
Pros: Great car, low cost.
Cons: I have no complaints. The Toyota Matrix is a car that's hard to beat for value. It is a reliable and highly utilitarian vehicle. I always reserve final judgment on a vehicle until I have at least a couple of hundred thousand miles on it. In my opinion a car only proves itself with long term reliability. I only have 100,000 miles on it, but have had literally no service issues with it. I had new front brake pads installed, a new battery, and that's it. It has very decent acceleration for this type of vehicle. The ride is pretty good considering its small size. I have hauled some relatively heavy loads. With the back seat and the front passenger seat folded down, it will hold a surprising amount of cargo. I have a long wheel base recumbent bike that fits nicely in the car without removing any tires. The gas mileage is very good. It is the cheapest car to operate that I have ever owned. It just keeps running and running. I put a little gas in it, change the oil every 3-4,000 miles, and drive it. The brakes are excellent. The handling is surprising for this type of car. It is responsive, fun and a great all around runabout. It is even good on the highway. We also own a Camry, which is an excellent car as well, but I prefer the Matrix. I am 60 years old and have owned quite a number of cars, but the Matrix is easily my fave. It puts my last two BMW's to shame.
