2005 Toyota (beige)
Pros: gas mileage
Cons: N/AThere isn't anything negative that I can say about this vehicle. It has always been dependable and it has never given me any reason to sell it.
Pros: Sporty look
Cons: Handling, sometimesI loved the car - time to move on and upgrade!
Pros: the radio/cd player
Cons: Loss of control
Advice: Look for a more reliable carMPG is a far cry from the advertising put out by Toyota. In careful city driving, at its optimum it gets 23 miles per gallon. Has never gotten over 30 mpg on the highway. The car surges; and I never know when this will haappen. Removing my foot from the gas pedal does not slow the car down. It continues to accelerate.
Pros: Exterior appearance
Cons: Terrible winter car
Advice: Consider where you live and how 'fancy' a car you expectMy 2005 Corolla is the most attractive car I've ever owned; however I'm disappointed in some other features. I've felt relatively safe and confident in the mechanical quality, though half a dozen times in the last year it hasn't started right away. This is disappointing as my 1987 Corolla was AWESOME. Gas mileage is 32 highway when it should be getting 38 (last Corolla got 40 hwy). Worst of all, this car cannot get out of its own way. Terrible in winter weather. I believe that what was expected and what I got is quite different. Shouldn't these cars get BETTER as they are redefined? Having said that, I would recommend the Corolla CE to someone living down south and who doesn't care about lacking the bells and whistles.
Pros: THE DISPLAY AND THE ELECTRONIC MIRRORS
Cons: THE HORSEPOWER
Advice: GET A TOYOTAI LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE ON THIS CAR, ITS SPORTY, GETS ATTENTION AND IT IS VERY RELIABLE... I LOVE THIS CAR!! I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!! LOVE IT!!
Pros: The way it handles
Cons: Short arm rest
Advice: Ask others what they think and have heard of Corolla's. I asked many questions with no negative comments. I was surprised since all cars have there downfalls.I just got my 2006 Corolla last week. I am really happy with my choice. I compared it to other vehicles in its class and with the reliability of Toyota along with its resale, low gas milage, and features I am happy with my choice. I really like the way it sticks to the road. And it has alot of life for a little 136hp engine. I'm 6'2' and find it very roomy. I wish arm rest was a bit higher. It has a great sized truck, great stereo system, and lots of little compartments to place junk. I can't wait for my first long distance road trip with it.
Cons: I got a lemon and toyota refuses service
Advice: do not buy a 2005 corollaDo not buy a 2005 Corolla. I have had nothing but problems since buying it. Within 500 miles I was stalled on the side of the road and had to have the car towed in. The cd player broke, was replaced, and broke again. Since 500 miles I have had it in for starting issues 6-7 times and the problem has still not been fixed. Toyota will do NOTHING about it. The dealer refuses to work on it becausse they said they have tried everything and do not know how to fix it. Toyota stated that they cannot do anything, even though the car is still under warranty and only has 11,000 miles on it. The starting problem is typical of all the 2005 Corollas I was told by Toyata, and they have no idea how to fix it. This is not a reliable car.
