    2003 Toyota Corolla - LE (M5)

Pros: Fuel economy and leg room.

    Cons: Everything else.

Advice: I suggest checking other 2003 compacts first for power and standard and optional features and cargo room. It is what I did afterward.

Not only did I check and drive this sedan. But I was also surprised cruise control is optional for this top-version Corolla! And it is not available with a rear deck spoiler. It is not only for appearance. But it is also for added rear weight. And it was too sluggish for me. It is in spite of getting good gas mileage. It was equipped with the standard 5-speed MT. And too many features are optional. It is more than the Cavalier LS I checked and got. Therefore, it makes more sense to check other makes and models first. It is my suggestion.

    2003 Toyota Corolla - LE (M5)

    Pros: Keyless entry

Cons: Dishonest Dealer! Was ripped off on trade

Advice: Know the Blue Book price for your trade.

Great little car. It is not a sports car, but isn't supposed to be. It is enjoyable on the highway.

    2003 Toyota Corolla - LE (M5)

    Pros: Interior Space

    Cons: Handling/Cornering

Advice: If you're not into 'performance driving' than this vehicle will work good for you.

I have a 2003 toyota Corolla LE. I am pretty tall (being 6'2) in height, and I fit comfortably in it. The car seems very reliable and I am pretty much satisfied with it. However, it does not corner or handle very well, and the steering is OKAY. Although it accelerates just fine, the way is handles is beginning to bug me. You must go extra slow on a sharp off-ramp, or the car will slide slightly and the tires will screech. Other than this one area, I have no complaints.

    2003 Toyota Corolla - CE (M5)

    Pros: Fuel economy

Cons: Outside mirror trim interfears with view - hard to see when backing up

Advice: buy this instead of american - regardless of price!

Car handles and performs well. Excellent MPG (getting about 38 on highway)- car can ride a bit stiff on bumpy road, other wise rides well. have had an issue with the rear deck & window (high pitch squeaks) dealer wants to rip out back seat to find it - also heard of missing welds in the rear of the car! GREAT GET AROUND CAR FOR THE MONEY

    2003 Toyota Corolla - LE (M5)

Pros: Very spacious interior and a great sound system.

Cons: Remote Keyless Entry only flashes the turn signals. No beep to let you know the car is locked. The only way you know if the doors are locked is if you hear them lock. This can be quite irritating. DON'T FORGET TO UNSCREW THE ANTENNA BEFORE WASHING!

Advice: If you have the money, BUY IT! Get the moonroof. Also, GET LEATHER SEATS!!! I have no idea what they make the cloth seats out of, but they are harder than !@#$ to clean!!!

I have owned this car for almost 2 months now, and I am very pleased with it. I thought that the 1.8L 4cyl 130hp VVT-i engine was going to be weak in acceleration. I cannot begin to explain how wrong I was with that statement. The car will get up and go when you need it to, and every time I put the pedal to the floor, I always burnout. (Denoting the torque). The electonically controlled transmission delievers quick, unnoticable shifts (Low revving too! 2000rpm's at 55mph, 3000rpm's at 80). Drives very smooth on the highway and has plenty of power for passing. The gas mileage is great once you get the break in miles on. Cheap to fill up also. Drawback, you have to unscrew the antenna before you run it through a carwash. The halogen headlamps are really bright too, and the brights are bright enough to send someone flying off the road. The wind sensitivity of this car is terrible, however, our last car had the same problem, so it doesn't cause a bother. Handles very well during the winter for what it is. The sound system is great too. I am very hard to please when it comes to sound, but this system delivers. The treble is perfect and the bass is pretty good too. (Don't ever put the bass up to the 5 setting!) It has very good crankability. I would recommend a subwoofer though (Small, not a 12'). Speaking of sound, drive with 2 hands. Everytime I drive with one hand and I make a turn, I honk the horn. IT'S THAT SENSITIVE! And loud too. Get leather, the cloth seats aren't worth the backache to clean. Get the all season floor mats, the cloth ones I have are already ruined. The backlighting keeps you alert. It also lights up the whole car! The white glow coming from the gauges is a powerful one at that. The interior is very spacious too. I am 6'0' tall, give or take, and I fit well in this car (Even in the backseat w/the front seats pushed all the way back). 5 is deffinetly not a tight squeeze in this car. There's plenty of storage space for anything. This is deffinetly a step up from my old '89 190E benz. I miss the leather and moonroof, but not the thousands of dollars a month in repairs to keep that piece running. This is the best purchase I've made in a while!

    2003 Toyota Corolla - S (M5)

    Pros: The interior roominess

Cons: Stereo System (which I have replaced)

Advice: Take a test drive--you'll love it!

I have actually owned my Corolla S for 3 months and I love it! I went from the 'sporty' Firebird to the Corolla S much to my husband's dismay. I love the trunk room and the comfort and roominess of the interior. I find it very sporty and fun to drive! My daughter loves the extra room as well. I can now take my nephew & his car seat and extra belongings whenever I want with plenty of room and ease to get him and the seat out! Everyone who has seen it cannot believe it is a Corolla or the amount of room it has inside in addition to its new sporty exterior! Gas mileage is great as well.

    2003 Toyota Corolla - CE (M5)

    Pros: interior space and comfort

Cons: limited trim options -- all or nothing

Advice: A LOT of car for the price!

The 2003 Corollas were redesigned from the ground up, and it shows. Great exterior looks--similar styling as many Lexus vehicles. Peppy, smooth, and quiet. Simple, spacious interior--the cabin and trunk space are HUGE for a sub-compact car. It rides higher than most other cars in its class, too, which gives you added visiblity and easier entry/exit. It looks, drives, and feels like a $20,000+ car. Toyota has raised the bar for this class of car.
