i have the title
Pros: how it looks
Cons: that naver gave me problomsit was a really good and it stills runs and it was the best car i had
Pros: Leather seat two tone colours
Cons: cheap look of interior from displays to buttons
Advice: If you enjoy gear changing every second, its an okay car. In my opinion over priced.Test drove both the GT and the GTS, was surprised at the entire package offered in both. Not much bang for your buck. Exterior is sleek and eye catching, just expected more from the interior. Disappointing cheap plastic front panel and displays okay, but nothing to write home about. Didn't find the drive that great either. Constant gear changing in city traffic gets irritating on the 6 speed. Didn't find the same issue when test driving the MB C230 kompressor and the interior offered more quality to the eyes and the wallet. The actual drive was okay, but I didn't find anything that special about either the GT or the GTS.
Pros: Power, 6-speed overdrive manual, smooth, not bad gas mileage.
Cons: Needs more back seat leg room and a turbocharger for more torque and better gas mileage.
Advice: You can settle for the 2003 GT-S or wait and see if the 2004 has a turbocharger and more back seat leg room.I thoroughly checked the 2003 Celica GT-S. It has a lot of h.p. for a high-performance compact! And it has good acceleration with a 6-speed overdrive manual and gets good gas mileage. Plus, it rides smooth. It has plenty of features. It has plenty of front seat room. But the back seat needs more leg room. And it needs more torque and a little better gas mileage. It can only be accomplished by adding a turbocharger, rather than just turning up the h.p. on the engine. So, while it is a good high-performance compact, it is not great. I have notified Toyota about these problems. So, hopefully, they will be corrected for the 2004's.
Cons: Needs lumbar support. And watch out for steep driveway aprons.
Advice: Way fun to drive! Get the manual tranny.Blows away the competition in value, quality, and driving experience... with no compromises. Good balance between high performance and economy. I get 31/35 (city/hwy) mpg on regular gas, far above the EPA rating. A/C penalty is ONE mpg! On the freeways it practically drives itself -- or I should say 'flies' itself; on back roads it handles perfectly and with confidence. Lots of power and responsive handling. Excellent gear ratio and it never feels like the engine is working hard. It's as much fun as the 2-seater sports cars, but with a totally smooth ride. I've taken 3 trips of 2000+ miles in the last 4 months; just don't want to get out of this car!... Inside the ergonomics are great, everything's laid out right where you want them to be. Incredible cabin space for its size, and remarkably comfortable. Also has an excellent sound system and handy storage places for small items. With the roof and windows open it's like riding a convertible with none of the disadvantages. Thought I had a blind spot on the passenger side till I experimented with the sideview mirror. After that, I've got perfect 360-degree views while on the road... Post-modern styling turns heads wherever I go. Classy but not ostentatious, the way it looks is the way it feels to drive. I was surprised by the cargo space. It's got a roomier trunk than my Dad's big Chrysler - even before putting down the rear seatbacks!... Minor complaint: Sight-lines take getting used to: can't see the front end or the rear end when parallel parking. Small price to pay considering everything this car has going for it. And you'll get used to it pretty quickly... Get it fully loaded. It's worth it. It's not the 'girly-car' it once was for a few years. If you like to drive, this Celica is both fun and practical.
Pros: Handling, smooth shifting close ratio tranny, Sleek high perf looks!
Advice: Test drive it..try the GTS and the GT before you decide..HAGGLE over priceJust bought the 2003 Celica..Handling is tight and awesome!!Whipping around corners is no problem..got mine with 17' 215 45 wheels and man was it worth it...probably paid too much but I'm having fun!!!Performance is good with a peppy 140 hp engine..close ratio 5 speed is not bad either...Kinda wish I had bought the GTS but, none available and a bit pricey..Seat are comfortable, but rear seats are a joke..those 6feet and over may have trouble getting into car..Stereo is great 6spker JBL . Only pet peeve is position of cupholders (interferes with the shifting). on the plus side lots of features for the money..(mine is loaded do the same if you can). Lastly you got Toyota Quality..4th toyota I've had and none have ever given me any trouble...Had a 1979 celica in High School so I know the car well.Highly recommend test drive it! You may end up driving one home!!Also considered VW Beetle Turbo S and Mini Cooper S but I still came home to toyota..( I Don't trust those damn Europeans with Electronics in automobiles yet).
