    Hesitating Hybrids

    Pros: It's a hybrid

    Cons: It's a hybrid

I love Toyota's Camry so I decided to buy a used hybrid (2007) for the good gas mileage. I did a 10 minute test drive but failed to recognize a slight hesitation during the transition from the battery to the gasoline engine. If felt like the car was skipping and needs attention. Toyota said that was natural for all hybrids. I sold it and returned to my more comfortable but less economical SUV Ford Explorer.

    2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

    Great Vehicle

    Pros: Navigation aid

Cons: A little disappointed in the road mileage, around 34 mpg

Good mileage 34-38 on the road, a little better in town. Very comfortable, and reasonable performance for a 4 cylinder.

    2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid

The Best and Most Powerful Car I Ever Owned!!!

    Pros: The electronics

Cons: I am not used to anti lock brakes and sometimes I think that there is a lag in the braking, but I am pressing too hard on the brake pedal. I need to get used to it.

This Camry Hybrid will not only save gas, but has more power, more comfort and just a sharp look all around. I owned a Toyota Camry for 20 years, thought that was a great car, but this is on an entire new level.

2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid - Base

Pros: More power than I expected

Cons: No road/fog lamp option available.

Advice: It takes some getting used to, but it's worth it.

I now have over 5,000 miles on it. I do a fair amount of mountain driving, plenty of power and gas mileage gets better at higher altitudes. Car is quiet and comfortable. JBL Audio system is very nice and hands-free Bluetooth is handy. A bit more substance to the rear shocks would help...air adjustable would be sweet, and can't understand why you can't get road/fog lights on their top line Camry. I average 40-42mpg tank average.
