Pros: the interior
Cons: the tail lights
Advice: great valuewow! what a Quiet car. very smooth and comfortable, surprising amount of room. This car speaks quality throughout. Could this be a Lexus in disguise?
Pros: The ability to have the drivers seat position and the outside mirrors set in memory for two drivers!
Cons: The color choices were fairly boring. The trunk is so well finished there is no place to attach a bungee or tie-down in the case you buy something big!
Advice: You get a ton of car for the money. Compare it to a Lexus and see how much you get. This is our second XLS and we have been thoroughly pleased with all its features. Compared to our '98, the new one seems even more comfortable with more lumbar support in the driver's seat. There is plenty of room in front or back and also in the trunk. The windshield gives great visibility. The rain sensing wipers are pretty cool. The sun roof seems wider and smoother to operate. It is also extremely quiet inside. The dual climate control is a nice feature and the vents to the rear area are a plus. The in-dash 6 CD changer is terific. It has plenty of get up and go. The transmission shifts much more smoothly than our '98. The upkeep on our first XLS was minimal - just tires, belts, wiper blades, etc.
Pros: A non-generic style navigation system like in other Toyota's; rain-sensing wipers; rear seat leg-room; and electrochromatic inside and outside driver's rearview mirror.
Cons: The placing of wood; not enough on the door. Perforated seats only available on XL model. Not enough power seat adjustments for both of the front seats.
Advice: This car already comes with plenty of features, though, rain-sensing wipers are cool.A very luxurious car with reasonable pricing. It should come with sunshades in the back.
