2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara - JLX (M5) 4x4
Submitted on 2/28/2002 10:06:45 PM- Summary
Pros: Performance
Cons: Cargo Space
Advice: Consider automatic unless you like a lot of shifting
Purchased in '99 my 'Planet Gold' Zuk now has 80K meter and is running strong a new. 5 Speed delivers av. 24mpg. Only repair was oil leak @ 75K in trans seal. Tow my twin engine jet boat over the Cascades with no problem. Handles like a 'Go Kart'. Paint, interior is holding well. Solid little truck thats fun to drive. The XL7 solves cargo issues and added rear seat room. A great value.

Pros: The value. Looks and rides nice too!
Cons: Only 1 color available for the interior. Very small third seat. The cruise control button is on the dash.
Advice: Do your homework. Compare it to comparable vehicles. Test drive it in a variety of situations to really get a feel for how it handles.
A lot of vehicle for the money! Other vehicles in the same price range don't have the little extras you get with the XL7 (tinted windows, air filtration sytem, extra power outlet in back). The smaller size makes it easier to manuver and park. Comfortable ride. The split seats fold for a variety of cargo options.

Cons: all the control placements
Advice: If you like the SUV's with a touch of a van this vehicle is for you.
Very nice vehicle that drives extremely smooth. All the power a person would need with a little extra. Also, very quiet ride with no extra noises from anywhere.
