2012 Suzuki Kizashi: Video Road Test and Review

The Suzuki Kizashi is a four door five passenger compact economy sedan powered by a 2.4 Liter four cylinder that is produces 185 HP and 170 lb-ft of torque when equipped with a six speed manual gearbox and only 180 HP and 170 lb-ft of torque with the Continuously Variable Transmission, which both combinations are good for an estimated 22 MPG in the city and as much as 31 MPG on the highway.

The entry level Suzuki Kizashi S MT comes with 8 standard airbags, keyless entry with push button starter, sport buckets, LED ambiance lighting, projector headlamps, chrome dual exhaust tip and a set of 16 inch steel wheels starting at $19,744.  The Kizashi S CVT retails for $21,874 and adds convenience features like steering wheel mounted cruise and audio controls as well as a seven speaker AM/FM/CD stereo; while the $23,224 Kizashi S CVT AWD sends power to all four wheels.

Stepping up a bit is the $23,174 Kizashi SE CVT that gets a power adjustable driver’s seat and 18 inch alloys wrapped in low profile all season tires; the SE CVT AWD adds the obligatory all wheel drive starting at $24,524.  The Suzuki Kizashi SE Leather Edition CVT lists for $24,774 and gets power adjustable leather wrapped front sport seats and the all wheel drive SE Leather Edition CVT AWD starts at $26,124.

The Kizashi Sport GTS MT gets a sport tuned suspension with a slightly lowered ride height, 18 inch lightweight sport wheels, redesigned front fascia with aero body kit and rear spoiler as well as a bumping Rockford Fosgate 10 speaker AM/FM/CD stereo complete with subwoofer starting at $22,994.  The Sport GTS CVT FWD adds a transmission that will never change gears as well as a one touch power tilt and slide sunroof starting at $25,144.  While the Kizashi Sport GTS CVT AWD gets steering wheel mounted F1 style paddle shifters to go along with the extra traction for $26,494.

The $27,074 Suzuki Kizashi Sport SLS CVT FWD gets upgraded with Bluetooth, rear sonar parking assist and automatic rain sensing windshield wipers while the $28,424 Sport SLS CVT AWD also gets leather wrapped sport buckets with stitching accents.  The Kizashi Sport SLS Navigation Edition CVT FWD gets an integrated touch screen GPS navigation system with back up camera for $28,473 and the Sport SLS Navigation edition CVT AWD gets heated seats up front for when taking the top of the line $29,823 all wheel drive Kizashi out for some fun in the snow.
