Pros: Sitting height of car
Cons: Cruise control
Advice: Compare to similarly featured Matrix and ProtegeThis is a fun car w/ loads of standard extras, i.e., 6 CD changer, power windows, power locks, cruise, rear de-froster/wipers, adjdustable height driver seat. All of this in a roomy little car w/ a quick engine, excellent for around town trips. I love to drive this car and so does my wife. My wife, 2 kids (in car seats) and our 'stuff' can easily fit in this car for a day outing. T
Cons: No arm rest
Advice: If you plan to own it for a while, buy it.Have owned the car for 6 months and I am still impressed. Given the cost, this car offers great size/roominess, speed/acceleration (manual trans), safety (See independent reviews), and so far reliability. Had heard negative things about Suzuki, but it looks like they got it right with this car. A lot of car for the money. Dealer service has been very good.
Pros: comfort while driving
Cons: location of cruise control
Advice: it's an excellent valueI am extremely pleased with my Aerio. I purchased it in April and have not had any problems at all. I have driven it to Minden Nevada, and though the elevation is some 7000' it had no problem at all on the grade. Turns handle well and the manual tranny makes it fun to drive.
Pros: appearance of car
Cons: cup holders don't change size
Advice: wonderful quality vehicle that is worth your money! This car runs great, feels great, is great! I could not have asked for a better car, which we purchased at a wonderful dealership!
Pros: small car
Cons: instrument panel
Advice: if you want to add stuffi own an aerio and i love the way it drives, you can't expect much power for it's not a muscle car. i went from a f-150 4.6 to the aerio and i can feel the difference. i live in hawaii so i have to go over the mounatians pretty much every day and it does a good job going over them.
Pros: Metallic Blue
Cons: The car almost had to stop (like a fat person) to get up the hill.
Advice: If you want ugly, buy the Toyota EchoI have been car shopping for two (2) years. This year, I finally decided to test drive. I have test drove several vehicles. The Aerio is by far the worst. I read these wonderful reviews about others being pleasantly surprised. I, however, was sadly disappointed. Customer service was poor at the one dealership in my state. The car is ugly and a copy of the Ford Focus and Toyota Echo. The car has a HUGE hesitation factor when going up the slighest hills. In addition, the salesman didn't even try to persuade me to get the car; it was like he knew I wouldn't like the car so why try. Weird????
Pros: interior space/driving position
Cons: position of cruise control/defroster/rear wiper switches
Advice: Test drive both the automatic and the manual, then decide.Sitting in the back seat first, I immediately noticed the generous amount of interior space. Moving to the front seat, the driving position is supportive and comfortable, with good visibility. The digital instrument cluster is reminiscent of 1980's cars. Fit and finish are good overall, and the vehicle comes well equipped. ABS, floor mats, and an automatic transmission are the only options. There's plenty of power on tap from the 2.0-liter four, but the automatic transmission slightly blunts its performance. Unique styling receives admiring looks and positive comments that the Esteem could only dream of.
