Subaru has announced pricing for the 2015 Outback, which will go on sale later this summer. The starting price is $25,745 (including a $850 destination charge) for the base 2.5i model, an increase of $425 when compared to the 2014 model, The 2.5i comes equipped with a 2.5L boxer-four with 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Other mechanical features that come as standard include Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, Active Torque Vectoring and X-Mode, a system designed to increase traction when needed. The 2.5i's feature list includes a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with USB port and AUX input.
Next up is the 2.5i Premium, which adds a larger seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control system, ten-way power drivers seat, all-weather package, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The 2.5i Premium retails for $27,845. Wrapping up the 2.5i lineup is the 2.5i Limited which packs eighteen-inch wheels, leather, Harman/Kardon® Surround 12-speaker system and 576-watt Amplifier, heated rear seats, Subaru's Rear Vehicle Detection System, and a power rear liftgate. The Limited begins at $30,845.
Those looking for a bit more power in their Outback will need to turn their eyes towards the 3.6R Limited, which packs a 3.6L flat-six engine making 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. Once again, this is mated to a CVT and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The 3.6R Limited gets all the equipment found on the 2.5i Limited and adds HID low-beam headlights. Pricing for the 3.6R Limited begins at $33,845.
