    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT Limited w/Blk Interior (M5) Sedan

Pros: The transition from third to fourth to fifth gears

    Cons: The slight turbo lag

Advice: Drive it. Drive it again. Make sure you test drive a loaded GT Limited with 5-speed stick.

I was in the market for a 4-door sedan & I spent the better part of the year studying every car known to man. The Subie was the last car I looked at & drove. I'm a 100-mile-a-day commuter which means I don't lease & I flip my vehicles every two or three years. Also, the 'Fun Factor' was an important criteria for me. I purchased the GT Limited Sedan two weeks ago & 1,000 miles later I can report that I'm still looking for a proper Formula One cockpit seat harness to replace the stock seat belt. Yowzer!!!!!!!!! I ordered a set of ASA 17' chrome rims complete with Continental high performance summer tires & while this enhances the Subie's look immensely, the performance transmitted to the road from the rally car engine is a bonus. Yee-Hah!!!!!! Interior is perfect for those who despise gagdets & the need for a Nav System. I always no where I'm going anyway & with the Subie GT Limited you're always going forward........fast.

    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT Limited w/Blk Interior (M5) Sedan

    Pros: Power

Cons: The seat does not adjust enough, which causes back pain (Didn't have it in my Passat that I traded in)

Advice: See if you can get a longer test drive to ensure that the seats work for you

Test drive was great, but 30 minutes did not preapre me for the the lack of seat comfort.

    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT (M5) Sedan

    Pros: Performance

    Cons: Automatic HVAC system

Advice: You must test drive this fantastic machine!

This is one amazing machine! The combination of a torquey boxer engine and turbo give it amazingly civilized low-end performance for normal driving... but when that turbo kicks in -- watch out! Tubo lag is almost non-existent. This is the smoothest, most forgiving manual transmission I have ever used! Fit and finish is outstanding and the doors give a hugely satisfying 'thump' when you close them. I had a '99 BMW 323 and I like this Subaru more! The performance/features/quality/price ratio simply can't be beat. Get one now!!

    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT (M5) Sedan

    Pros: Turbocharged

Cons: Daytime running lights........which I have already taken care of!!!!

Advice: Compare LGT's standard features with any other model, and it's price. Then drive it.

Awesome!!! Not a car on the market with the same bells and whistles for the same price. Add AWD, dual climate control, heated front seats, 6 disc changer, turn signals on mirrors, upgraded security system, fog lights, and a turbo to any other car in its class and you are well over $30,000. You can't ask for much more.

    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT Limited w/Blk Interior (M5) Sedan

    Pros: the power

    Cons: no xm radio

    Advice: must test drive

Love this car! Great power and great looks. Very fun to drive. If you are looking to get into a BMW 330 or Audi A4. Make sure you test drive the Legacy GT Limited Sedan first.

    2005 Subaru Legacy - 2.5GT Limited w/Blk Interior (M5) Sedan

    Pros: The engine

    Cons: Climate control

    Advice: Buy it! quick!

This is a great car. Great performance, handling, and I can still haul my family of 5 around comfortably. Love the 17' wheels and big brakes. I went with the 5 speed auto which is fun in sport mode and works well in D. Aftermarket parts available already to easily make 310HP. Complaints: 1. Leather seats are too hard. Maybe they will soften up. 2. Climate control is retarded. My suburban works much better. If it is 55 outside and 60 inside and I turn the auto on to 75 it will turn the A/C on. It will turn the A/C on anything less than 83. When I turn the A/C off the Auto display goes out making you think the auto is off, but I found that it is not. Only if you change the fan speed does it turn the Auto off. The venting is retarded too. Never where it should blow. 3. Exhaust is way too quiet. Can't wait for aftermarket exhaust.

    2003 Subaru Legacy - L w/Special Edition Package (M5) Sedan

Pros: The AWD, and overall quality of the vehicle.

    Cons: The low gas milage

Advice: Research all of the features you want and go into the dealership knowing more than the salesperson

As others, I appreciate the AWD feature of this vehicle, particularly living in WI. This is my fourth Subaru and perhaps my favorite. The ride is fairly smooth, quiet, and the car has a tight feeling overall. I have had no problems with the fit and finish or mechanics thus far.
