    2005 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Wagon

    Pros: Symmetrical all-wheel drive

    Cons: lack of 'standard' features

Advice: don't pay more than sticker

Have only test driven this car (will buy later this year). It's been quite a few years since I had to give up my turbo RX-7, and I figured it was time to step into a fast car again. The blend of function and speed made this car appear quickly on my list. This car was very responsive, quick, no lean on tight curves, and a stupid smile quickly appeared on my face. Cons: for the cost of the base model, you don't even get the spoiler or sunroof (my VW Golf has heated seats and a sunroof), also, the road noise is much worse than the impreza RS. Thirdly, I think the fog lights should be standard and I'm not all that impressed with the design of the back end. Pros: FAST, with LOTS of torque (compare with the more-expensive RX-8). Also, while the RX-8s and mustangs of the street will be stuck at home in inclement weather, this all wheel drive - low center of gravity beast will be flying through the snow and mountain passes. If I have to give up some creature comforts for the advanced performance and engineering, I think it's worth it.

    2005 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Sedan

    Pros: AWD

    Cons: nothing

    Advice: join the club

I went to the Subaru dealership with full intentions on buying a 2.5 RS. After test driving it I found it to be great in all aspects. I wanted to see what a WRX was like so I test drove a silver one. I bought it right then. The reliability, power, handling, and versatility are unmatched by any make or model world-wide. I did pay more than i wanted to for any car, but the WRX is not just any car. I now own a 2005 WRX that i drive effortlessly through snow, rain and everything else while laughing at the gas slurping SUV flounder about while using four wheel drive. From environment friendly to your pocket book, every angle is covered. I would recommend the WRX to my mother and my friends.

    2005 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Wagon

Pros: Having a car that never gets old.

    Cons: ....Ceiling fabric

Advice: Get the turbo gauge (to predict lag), the short sifter, and the arm rest.

Ok....where to start.... This car is noisy, lets you feel road bumps and is not the ideal luxury car. However, this car is something that most cars will never be - a sports car that is truely great in bad conditions, that holds a ton of cargo and yet will...ok 0 - 60 in 5.4 seconds. CONS: -Noise -Cheap ceiling fabric -Cd player glitchy once in a while -turbo lag PROS: -Drivers's seat feels like sitting in a fighter jet. Everything adjusts. With the short throw shifter and the arm rest, you can shift with your fingertips! The steering wheel is so soft and shaped perfectly. Wonderful Ergonomics! Climate control is nice! Heater/AC work great. Defroster is fast. Speakers are offset by the noise of the car somewhat, but are high quality. -Over 3000 RPM, acceleration is absolutly incredible; akin to engaging warp drive. Gear ratios picked very well though modulating the throttles interesting with turbo lag. When steering, the car simply does as ordered - no tilting. Great car in traffic; able to shift lanes quickly. Good visibility. Watch the speed though. This car feels at 100 as most do at 45. The turbo sound is intoxicating. Meets EPA mileage. -I packed up my entire life and moved across the country in this vehicle. Plenty of room. Good performance when fully loaded. Great places to strap thing down (and you'll need to in this car) -You can feel the road. AWD works great too. Good ground clearance and somehow low center of gravity. Feels very solid - very rigid. No chassis rattles. -Not a cop finder. In fact, the innocent looks make it that much funnier after you burn the modded civic at the light. Great exterior. Beautiful machine.

    2005 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Wagon

    Pros: acceleration/ride/handling

    Cons: nothing

Advice: Drive it, you will like it!

After testing Acura RSX-S, Mini Cooper S, and Neon SRT/4, I bought a Subaru WRX Impreza Sport Wagon. Everything about it seemed better: acceleration (esp. smoothness), ride, handling, finish, interior and sound system. I have owned many sports cars in the 45 years that I have been driving and this is one of the Best!

    2005 Subaru Impreza - 2.5 RS (M5) Sedan

    Pros: CD I GUESS

Cons: WELL IT WAS NICE TO MOVE THE CUP HOLDER FROM OVER THE RADIO- TAPE PLAYER

Advice: TAKE ONE OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE

PURCHASED A 2005 IMPREZA 2.5 RS SEDAN LIKE THE AWD HAD A 1994 IMPREZA. LIVE UP HERE IN FAIRBANKS ALASKA, IT IS THE ONLY CAN TO DRIVE. DOES EXCELLANT IN THE SNOW.
