2002 Lexus SC 430 - Base

Pros: My favorite feature about the car would have to be the motorized hardtop feature. It has the security of a hardtop with the versatilty of a convertible.
Cons: My least favorite thing about this car is definitely the low profile wheels and run flat tires. It feels as though you are riding on steel wheels at times.
Advice: I would recommend waiting a little while until the waiting lists die down. Prices are non-negotiable due to strong demand.
The transmission is very smooth and responsive & Seats are very comfortable. This car is definitely an eye grabber. Vehicle has much more body flex with the top down and ride is much firmer than other Lexi. I would recomend a slightly higher profile tire (it has 40 series) that is not as vunerable to poor road surfaces.

2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - C32 AMG Sedan
Submitted on 12/23/2001 3:44:50 PM- Summary
Pros: Combination of extreme performance and luxury sedan amenities
Cons: Nothing, that I could see
Advice: If you are looking for a performance sedan, drive this one first
To start, I must confess that I do not yet own one of these. It will take me a few months to raise the price of admission, and then I will own one. But, I certainly have test driven one. With 349 hp up high on the tach and 331 lbs/ft of torque down low, this is a performer, plus. The best and quickest way to describe it is as follows: A friend just bought a new Corvette automatic. I drove his car and was really impressed by the 'pull', but thought it not quite a true sports car by my definition. I said that I wished someone would make a car that performs like that, only in a more refined four door sedan. Well, someone has, and that car is the C32 AMG. Refinement is excellent, and makes the BMW M3 feel like driving a tractor! MB managed to put great performance suspension on the C32 without inducing harsh ride or road noise compared with its lesser relatives, the C320 and C240. With a 0-60mph time of 4.9 seconds and a 1/4 mile at about 106, it can give some of the senior Porches something to worry about. But it sacrifices nothing a good sedan should be. Very roomy and comfortable inside, compact outside. In my opinion, this is the undiscovered gem of the year. The only downside is the $50,000 to $55,000 price of admission. But considering that it is a true luxury car that just happens to wipe out Porches, that may actually be a bargain.

2002 Chevrolet Corvette - Convertible
Submitted on 12/17/2001 4:31:04 PM- Summary
Pros: Digital Controls
Cons: Horn Sound
Advice: Buy Buy Buy
On my test drive i took it to the nearby drag strip. this car can get up to the 175 +mph in about 15 seconds. my personal views on this car- Performance- Top Speed easily reached and kept Comfort- this car isnt meant for people that are over 6 ft 6 Potential Buyers- nice car but the black interior is easily dirtied. also if you attempt to customize the rims DONT it will throw off the cars settings. becuz the car has a 1 inch difference between front and rear. this care will be practically useless oncee customed rims are put on. but once the rims are put on you can get the car re set up for that size. Speed- fast accel and great top speed Closing Statements- this car is great and everything is great about it

2002 Volkswagen Jetta - GLS 2.8L Sedan
Submitted on 12/13/2001 12:27:53 PM- Summary
Pros: the V6 engine
Cons: the gas milage
Advice: Beware of the gas milage claims
This is a truely comfortable car to drive. I've owned the 4 cylinder also and the V6 is much smoother and quieter and plenty powerful. The fit and finish are excellent, although I have had some problems that are a little concerning to me such as the passenger window falling into the door, and the springs under both seats falling out. Minor, but irritating. The biggest surprise has been that the car does no better than 278 miles on a tank of gas, far short of what was claimed. I drive 148 miles each way to work, and have not gotten 300 miles from a tank yet.

2002 Lexus IS 300 - Manual Sedan
Submitted on 12/9/2001 8:32:57 AM- Summary
Pros: inline-6
Cons: too cramped in the rear passenger area
Advice: look into getting the A4 quattro 6sp for the same price
The car handles nicely, but it is missing a lot of the amenities that the Audi A4 has. Such as, memory seats, heated rear, dual climate control, 6sp, awd, power trunk release, air bag release based on impact, rear seats fold down, 12-way electronically adjustable seats, free oil changes and scheduled services and a lot of rear legroom. The Lexus' rear passenger space is very limited and the seats do not come down to have access to the rear (only a ski pass-through in the armrest).

Pros: Keyless entry, sunroof, the look (inside and out)
Cons: A little more power
Advice: Buy one, you won't regret it!
I absolutly LOVE my new Civic. It runs great,it's the best small car I ever drivin. I think it's comfortable, reliable, and BEAUTIFUL. I have a two door in silver. I've owned it for about 3 weeks and I still can't get enough of it. The sunroof is great! I thought the lack of a large center consol would be a hassle, but there are plenty of other storage places. The gas milage is wonderful. I don't regret my purchase at all!
