Nissan GT Academy driver Lucas Ordóñez will test the 2014 Nismo ZEOD RC
Nissan has already inspired a generation of gamers with the Nissan GT Academy, a program that took a wanna be racer from in front of a Playstation to a seat in an experimental prototype running at race pace in the Petite Le Mans. Spanish driver Lucas Ordóñez was the first candidate to graduate from the Gran Turismo inspired competition and is currently trotting from one international racing venue to another, competing in cars like the Nissan GT-R and LMP2 endurance racers, on tracks that he once only had access to via the Playstation network.
The big news comes in the next generation Deltawing, the 2014 Nissan ZEOD RC, an experimental prototype that this time around is 100% Nissan and will be campaigned in the “Garage 56” category at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans. Oh, and Lucas will be testing the car out as well. So don’t ever let your mom tell you to stop playing your video games.
