Advice: Don't write the Diamante off without driving it.Over all, I am very pleased with the Diamante. The engine has plenty of power to make driving this 'family car' exciting. I find the ride and handling to be exceptional, even on icy roads, and the heated seats (part of the winter driving package) make those early morning commutes bearable. The interior of the car is well designed. Visibility is good with no real blind spots, and the sound system is more than adequate. Four “good sized” (I am over 6 foot and weigh 260 lbs.) adults fit comfortably inside. The leather seats, moon roof and programmable remote system (for garage doors and gates) are also very nice additions that come standard with the LS. While I have not owned my Diamante long enough to comment on reliability, a colleague of mine has had one for 5 years and it is still going strong (having survived two teenage drivers) with over 138,000 miles. He liked his so well, he bought one for his wife. My only complaints are minor. The cup holders stink. Anything larger than a small cup of coffee does not fit securely anywhere. Also, the remote controls for the stereo are not very convenient to use. I find it easier to use the knobs on the radio. Finally, while the Diamante is very sleek looking, I personally like the curb appeal of the Audi and Lexus better(however, not enough to justify the extra cost). I looked at the Lexus ES 300, Audi A6, Toyota Camry and the Mercedes M class. While you cannot go wrong with any of these cars, in my opinion, you get the most bang for your buck with the Diamante. In reaching this conclusion, I did take into consideration the fact that the resale on the Diamante will, in all likelihood, not be as good as it would be for the other models. However, I tend to own my cars for many years and to drive them into the ground. As a result, resale value was not as important to me. Also, the zero percent financing offered by Mitsubishi was hard to beat. If your ego can handle having to repeatedly respond to “Diamante, who makes that?,” a question rarely asked if you buy any of the other cars I considered, the Diamante is well worth a look.

Advice: Beware of the gas milage claimsThis is a truely comfortable car to drive. I've owned the 4 cylinder also and the V6 is much smoother and quieter and plenty powerful. The fit and finish are excellent, although I have had some problems that are a little concerning to me such as the passenger window falling into the door, and the springs under both seats falling out. Minor, but irritating. The biggest surprise has been that the car does no better than 278 miles on a tank of gas, far short of what was claimed. I drive 148 miles each way to work, and have not gotten 300 miles from a tank yet.
Cons: The time delay between volume and chanel preset. You have to wait for the volume function to clear before you can switch the chanels.
Advice: Buckle upThis car is truly a work of art. It drives great, and it's a head turner.
Advice: check this out, you will be surprisedThe Nissan Maxima is definitely a great vehicle. For drivers looking for the comfort, conveinance and performance of a high end vehicle without the high end price this is the best. I purchased a 2001 Nissan Maxima GLE about a year ago. I have never been happier with any car than I have with this one. The Maxima looks very stylish, the vehicle rides very smoothly, performance is outstanding. The controls are easily accessable and front and rear seat comfort is impressive. The rear seat heaters can only be utilized when the front ones are on. Trunk space is generous and steering wheel mounted radio/cruise control buttons are convenient. I also installed aftermarket Stillen air intake which boosted the performance and sound. When purchasing this vehicle, make sure to see the dealer invoice, so you have a price to work off. When considering a mid size sedan, definitely check this one out!

Advice: Before you buy go test drive a Saturn L-300, I did and I am glad I did.If you are considering any other cars in this class, before you buy go to a Saturn dealer. I did and bought that day I was so impressed. The service and the entire process was so easy. I will buy another Saturn definately.
Advice: Get his great bang for a buck car!For a 2.5 litre engine size combined with the gearing this cars is quick and zippy. One can do 100 mph in 5th and just pass the peak torque band @3500 rpm. But BMW seems to have modified the torque curve so that it is flatter giving a lower peak torque @3500 rpm but increasing the overall hp from 170 (99-00 models)to 184 (b)hp. it simply means one can have more overall torque in gears 3, 4 and 5 and spend much time in there, without having to shift gears frantically. So it's quick but not fast and that's what one gets into the 330 for if one is looking for a better acceleration/power band. The 2.5 litres seems to be a core engine size and having been there since 92 -95 (as the bigger engine size)and 98-current as the smaller engine size, it has lot of acceleration and power to offer. To put it smartly it's a great bang for the buck. i mean where else would one find 184 pure bred Arabian Stallions pounding down the freeway, combined with the looks, styling and handling for less than $27k. Amenities, i ordered moonroof and Titanium silver in my 2-dr. version. Rest is stock, which for 2002 includes Automatic climate control, in-dash CD pathway lighting, 4-function obc, and remote entry. I found this to be plentiful as rest just gets in the way for enjoying the car. This is truly a driver’s car. The handling is great and BMW has come up with aluminum suspension parts and pistons heads and so is the engine block is with coated with cast-iron liners. So overall weight is reduced thus improving handling. The 17' wheels offer better grip compared to the stock Conti's which squeal when cornered too tight too fast. The DSC system is great, it's standard and measures wheel spin, steering wheel angle, rotation about yaw-axis to correct wheel slippage. One gripe that i could think of when i compare it to my E36 ('97 328i)is the oversteer in 2002 3'ers. Slight but it's still there. Well perhaps to overcome the understeer of the early model years. But i am happy with the current car and this is the also last model year for the coupe before it gets a face-lift like 02 sedans next year.
